He is very knowledgeable on Lyme disease from where, when, and why it was created than any other doctor I have visited. He isn’t afraid to spend the time with his patients to help them get through life with this devastating disease. I highly recommend him!

Dr. McCullars is by far one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. (Even with my 20 years RN experience) He listens, tests and is willing to treat difficult diagnosis. I am very glad and grateful that I found him. Any wait time for phone calls or in office are well worth the time spent. He actually listens and is very knowledgeable. Emails go more smoothly then phone calls... A+++++

Traveled 2.5 hours each way to se Dr. McCullars for over a year with no improvement in Lyme symptoms. Long wait time to be seen and phone calls were returned days later if at all. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Dr. McCullars is an extremely knowledgeable physician. His diagnosis are made after careful listening and extensive training , experience andy constant study. He stays current on cutting edge research and is persistent providing a medications as needed. It is difficult to contact him by phone. He will spend as much time as needed to make an accurate diagnosis . You will never be rushed out . You may have to wait your turn but he will not rush you out to make up for lost time. He does appear to be reluctant to refer to other doctors. This is probably due to his extensive knowledge in medical conditions and experience with misdiagnosis from other professionals. If he is unable to help you over time, you may need to self refer to specialists. I think he could benefit from more faith in physical therapy for patients who will follow through. He does seem to rely on pharmaceutical therapy as opposed to seeking assistance from other treatments . However, he is the best!!!

After 6 months of misery and people telling me I had MS when I knew better, I finally seen my internal medicine who in turn told me I had Lyme and that he would start me on the treatment and do a Lyme titer and refer me to Dr. McCullars for Lyme Disease. My test came back positive for Lyme with no coinfections but by this point I had very vague memory, tremors on the right side of my body, insomnia, severe anxiety (which I have never experienced) lost 40 lbs in 3 weeks and hurt all over like I had the flu but never had a bullseye rash. I had been told by infectious disease doctors in Pensacola that Lyme didn't exist in our area and that there was nothing else he could do for me unless something more serious arose. I finally got in to see Dr. McCullars and have now been on treatment for Lyme for 3 months. I am 85% better and have came a long way. He does not accept insurance but it is worth the money and the experience.

My mom has suffered for the last year & 7 months after a cat scratch the doctors could not find what was wrong with her, she was hospitalized twice with no results or diagnosis. My friend told me about Dr. McCullars I got her into see him and he found the culprit in the 1st visit and started her immediately on antibiotics. She will be treated for the next 6 months + until it clears, but due to her host of neurological issues and sudden weight loss the docs could not figure out what it was, turned out to be a hard to find infection that Dr. McCullars immediately recognized and tested for. I would highly recommend him if you are not getting results. My mom finally has her life back again and is continually getting better, though it will be a long process.

I have been seeing Dr. McCullars for 30 years and he is the best! He spends time with his patients and never rushes you out. I have two sons who, at different times, were not able to get correct diagnosis of their conditions with MANY other doctors. I took both of them to him and he was the ONLY doctor to correctly diagnosis and treat their conditions and cure them. He is a rare find and I would not see anyone but him.

I truly would not be alive today if it were not for Dr. McCullars. It took 8 years for me to get rid of Lyme Disease. Today, I see him for average aches and pains.
