I have never waited more than 5 minutes to see Dr. Main which is my first experience with an MD being respectful of patient's time. He has always taken the time necessary to hear me out completely, which is also a unique amongst MDs; I am used to having to rehearse an "elevator speech" prior to seeing a Doctor who gave me 30 seconds with her hand on the doorknob. I have always found him to be caring, compassionate & professional. The offices need a reno big time!

I have had Dr Main for a long time and felt very fortunate when he agreed to take my fiance on even if he isn't accepting new patients. He is always on time or early which is rare and greatly appreciated. Very thorough and not inclined to prescribe anything not needed. I have had some issues and was always directed to the proper specialist quickly. Our whole family thinks very highly of him.

I got rid of Dr. Main as my family doctor a month ago. I pulled my whole family away from his care. He is just a condescending pill pusher who doesn't listen to a word you say and will tell you there is nothing wrong with you if he doesn't have the answer. I went to see him on 6 different occasions for a period of 1 year. I was experiencing this incredible pain around my c section scar and I could feel an obvious lump. Everytime I went to see him, I think he saw me for about 3 minutes. did a quick physical check, didn't try to feel around any more and then said, "nope, there is nothing there". I would go home feeling soo discouraged and thinking to myself Do I have to live like this forever? It can't just be in my head, is it? months of pain would go by and then I'd try to go see him again and again with always the same outcome. Finally, I pushed for an ultrasound. Well the technician did a pregnancy pelvic ultrasound and wasn't anywhere where the lump is. The ultrasound came up that there was nothing and he told me that there is no cause for this pain. I tried to explain that the technician didn't go over where the lump was and he said and I quote "IF there was something there, the ultrasound would have picked it up" IF? IF? Well, I couldn't take the pain anymore, went to the Emergency room, had a CT scan and yes, they found a 4cm x 4cm lump on my abdominal wall caused by my c section just like I told him over a year ago! He made me feel like I was making things up in my head. I felt like there was no hope and that I would have to live with this pain forever and that I was imagining this lump! Luckily this isn't life threatening however, the only way to cure it is surgery and it only keeps growing and growing and growing. Maybe 10 years down the road he would have felt something after it grow to be the size of his head!

Would ask for referrals repeatedly to mental health specialist and was refused more than once!Once I found a new Dr she was horrified at the number of medications,dosages that he himself prescribed.This "Dr" caused me to lose 8 years of my life!! I was a walking talking barely functioning zombie! Today with a new caring Dr and the CORRECT medications with follow up testings,as many of the med he prescribed were toxic and I was NOT tested enough for the levels in my blood.This is a serious matter as the medications can build up and destroy your liver! What can you expect from a 5 minute appointment? Thats it! it goes like this "what are you here for?"ok heres a script"Don't argue I AM the Dr. If you don't want to follow his plan ,question it or ask for a second opinion you will be booted out of the clinic Grandview Medical Centre that he works out of.I am happy and healthier now than I've been in YEARS .WHY? because of a CARING Dr who LISTENS,I am a new person thanks to my new Dr!!

I am very happy with Dr. Main. He is polite and has made me feel comfortable having him as my Doctor. He has always been on time and is friendly.

Dr.Main is always friendly and helpful... i rarley go to the doctor but he's always on time when i do!
