Neglected to personalize care in my case. Always busy and off to attend a meeting. Failed to prevent an incident of transient ischemic attack and was defensive and resorted to rationalizations afterwards. I have to give a low rating. I have since found another cardiologist.

Exceptional Doctor. The exceptional medical teams, nurses, doctors, technicians, porters, and other medical staff, we have in B.C. at St Pauls' Hospital need to be praised and rewarded for their dedication and efforts in this time of need

I would assign a negative rating if the system allowed. Sharing my lived experience for ischemic heart disease, outside of heart failure or heart transplant. Perhaps he is a star in heart transplant or heart failure, but he has proven to be a terrible doctor from knowledge and bedside manner alike. Relied on antiquated knowledge, shared high level understanding of condition without important details, neglected to personalize care. Defensive when questioned, dismissive and rude when providing ‘care’. Wasted years of my precious years under his care, with disproportionate emphasis on anxiety management. Relieved another intelligent, respectful, competent, evidenced-based cardiologist who incorporates patient’s value into treatment plan took over—>a more hopeful resultant outlook. If you fit into my category, run away, don’t walk.

Best Cardiologist in Vancouver. I’m very picky when it comes to my health as you only have one life to live... he’s everything you’d hope for in a Specialist, but completely exceeds your expectations!
