She was the kindest, caring, knowledgeable dr I have ever dealt with… this was my second cancer I have dealt with and she made me feel so at ease and treated me like a friend… had surgery yesterday and she visited sited me like 4 times… even put my favorite music on in operating room… she is one of a kind and feel very blessed to having her xx

Dr. Hodgson is a brilliant and patient surgical oncologist. I feel very blessed and confident in her abilities. She performed my surgery just yesterday morning, and I am confident that I am going to kick cancer's butt. She is amazing, patient with my questions, and very highly respected in her field. During my initial visit with her, my husband naturally became a big fan of her's when he discovered her love of sports. :) He immediately felt at ease and thus more attuned to the discussion of my cancer at hand. He picked up on parts that I missed - it's true what they say, always bring your person with you to the initial consult. She came to visit with me in recovery shortly afterward. Dr. Hodgson truly cares about her patients. Only out of the hospital a mere few hours, but I felt that it was important to come here and share my gratitude for Dr. Hodgson and the wonderful team of nurses and staff at the Juravinski hospital.

Dr. Hodgson performed my lumpectomy in October of 2023. I felt so blessed to have her as my surgical oncologist. She was very easy to talk to and explained my options and answered all of my questions. Her reassuring manner made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Hodgson came to visit me prior to entering the operating room and after my surgery in the recovery room. She demonstrated kindness and compassion throughout my entire procedure. What an amazing doctor!!!

From the first day we met, I felt so safe. She is so great at putting your mind at ease. She took her time, explained everything that she would be doing 8n the lumpectomy. I had a full list of questions and she answered each and every one of them. Bedside manner, care and compassion is outstanding. Very very friendly, feel so lucky to have been assigned to this lovely lady.

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer July 2023, and referred to Dr. Hodgson. She has been very informative based on my diagnosis and made it easy to decide my best option . Honest, caring and enjoy her positive demeanour.
I was nervous initially but once meeting her felt fortunate having her as my oncologist.

Absolutely awful experience with Dr Hodgkin from start to finish. At first I thought I had won the mastectomy surgeon lottery by getting her due to her reputation and experience in the field but boy was I ever wrong!

She has awful bedside manner, lacks compassion, definitely gave me false pretences, didn’t manage my expectations proper at all.
She gave me a hematoma from the surgery so after being released that day I had to go back to the hospital later that night for an emergency operation to fix what she messed up. She didn’t do the emergency surgery nor did she ever acknowledge or apologize for her mistake
I always waited forever to see her and then she would rush me out of her office without taking any time to explain anything.
Then they weren’t sure if they got all the cancer and three times she bailed on our appointments and then passed the buck to my oncologist to discuss it with me and he wasn’t sure so it was back and forth for a while. Absolutely brutal.
The first visit spoke for itself, she bluntly tells me I have breast cancer and that I should have a bi lateral mastectomy and would lose both nipples and when I stated to cry, she had the nerve to ask me if she said something to upset me!!! Are you kidding me!! Wow is all I can say about this awful surgeon

Dr Hodgson is at the top of her field and is not only super knowledgeable but also compassionate and caring, and attentively listens and responds. I feel complete confidence that she has my best interest in mind, that her recommendations are thorough and her work is meticulous. I feel grateful that she is my surgeon.

Dr. Hodgson is a fantastic surgeon! She did my lumpectomy and made the whole process easy. She explained everything that she would be doing during the surgery and then the day of my surgery she came to see me before I was taken into the OR. She was very professional and again went over what she would be doing and asked if I had any questions. I felt that I was in good hands. Her staff are also wonderful. They were all very caring and I really felt that they were taking care of me.
