Dr Barnes was very helpful. He was very kind and thorough and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything he was doing and why, he asked lots of questions and listened to my answers, and referred me for another procedure that would help figure out what was going on

horrible. They forgot to schedule my appointment that I've been waiting on for half a year. Was referred here back in October 2023. Told the earliest I could get in was March 2024. Then they called me back and said they double-booked me by mistake and it wouldn't be until April 2024. Never received a confirmation email or text or anything like that. Called on the day of my appointment, took 6 tries to get through, they told me they forgot to put me in the schedule and the earliest they can get me in is... October 2024. By which point it will have been a full year. Unbelievable.

Had two appointments booked and not once did I get a phone call. Unprofessional and lazy. I can’t even count how many times I called and couldn’t get a hold of anyone or get an explanation. Don’t even know why I bother. Might as well just let my brain continue to bleed, since this service is no freaking help.

He is great. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Empathetic. Could not have asked for more.

Not as good as these ratings show. Maybe my symptoms of disorientation and tremor were outside his neurologic sub-specialty. But I expected more, especially after waiting 8mths+ to see him.

He was 20min late (first appt of the day), possibly due to reviewing my long chart. Barely saw me for a half hour. Has a mad scientist vibe, which is usually a good thing but not in my case. Said he's unable to diagnose, since there's "no tests to diagnose my condition".

I was bewildered. There's no test for Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Bi-Polar disorder, yet those conditions can be diagnosed. Then he referred me for a treatment. How can you treat something, when you don't even know what you're treating?

Anyways. I saw the boxes of Botox in his office so I suspect he's a big migraine guy. So if those are your symptoms and you can stomach the wait, maybe he's your guy. But for complex investigations, I'd try Dr Peter Hughes or someone else.

Dr. Barnes was the most compassionate, professional doctor I have seen to date. After waiting a while to see him, it was refreshing to be greeted, listened too and provided with advice. I would highly recommend Dr. Barnes.
