I give 0 rating. Dr. Richards writes ophthalmology opinions for WCB. I had a head injury which caused a rare bilateral hypo function Vestibular condition including convergence insufficiency. His opinion is Prism glass corrects this condition thus I should not get a disability award from WCB. If I was to sit and read a book without looking away from the page it might help. But with a head injury I can't read a book I can wear the glasses as they make me so nauseous. These Doctors no nothing about head injury yet can give their opinion from a quick glance at my file which I say quick because my Neuro Opthamologist wrote the truth the Prism glass make me nauseous and Dr. Richard writes I don't want to wear them. I have seen opinion written by Doctors for WCB and they get big bucks. Dr. Richards has no idea what I go through daily he has never seen me and he didn't even quote my Dr. Properly. I suggest he goes back to school and learn more or don't write about something you no nothing about.

I saw Dr. Richards for an eye issue which, without his care, could have caused permanent damage. Dr. Richards was quick to respond to the issue, and even scheduled a follow up on one of his days off to see me specifically and to make sure the treatment was working (which it was). The follow-ups which followed for months afterwards were just as helpful and personalized as my first visit. A great doctor, with expertise and experience in the field.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Richards for over 8 years and we are both extremely impressed
by his wide knowledge and helpful manner. When my husband's situation worsened , Dr. Richards acted rapidly to outline a list of possible treatment options. After seeing another specialist, the matter was cleared up and now we are both back to seeing Dr. Richards for our
yearly check-ups. I cannot imagine how we could be anymore satisfied.

Dr Richards trains UBC students at his office. He is kind, courteous, knowledgeable and patient. I have always had amazing students as well. His receptionist seems to hate her job and is not friendly. It’s a shame as he is so fabulous.

I've been going to Dr. Richards for the last 10 years and have been very satisfied with the care and attention I received. He is a real gentleman and takes time to carefully check all possibilities. Unlike a lot of doctors, he does not rush you toward surgery before you actually need it. I note that his long-term patients all seem to adore him-- and trust his opinions.

Received the wrong diagnosis from Dr. Richards, if I did not go for a second opinion and listened to Dr. Richards advise I would have permanent damage to my eye.
