I was referred to Dr. Feinstein in approx. 2002 after an injury that l sustained to my back while working as an Critical Care Reg. N had deteriorated leaving me with severe Chronic Pain Syndrome and Clinical Depression.
Dr. Feinstein has been one of only 2 of the many members of my treatment team who has been a consistent source of support, resources, referrals and up to date clinical information throughout this now life long oddesy. Dr. Feinstein has been willing to provide detailed reports whenever needed, allowing me to both protect myself from unreasonable demands and substantiate the need for health related accomadations.
I have always found Dr. Feinstein willing to listen to my own theories when they have conflicted with his Diagnosis concerning my current presenting state of mind, that in itself has been for me most enjoyable.
Having spent 30 years working with Physicians, specialists of many kinds, l am quite surprised when l read some of the comments that reflect negatively on this particular Physician.
I can only say l have on every occasion found Dr. Anthony Feinstein, caring, respectful , open minded, calm, never ever rushed, focused on me in the moment, attentive,
I always feel that he is aware of my entire case history, not easy when l see him (my choice) on average every 6 months. I have called in the past and asked to see him when l needed to as soon as possible, Colleen was able to have me in within the month. If l run out of medication or need the dose changed l can call the office and ask Colleen I she will speak to him.
None of these are guarantees, nor would l expect them to be, l think my point in closing is, l would not consider another Psychiatrist, l feel truly lucky that l was referred to Dr. Anthony Feinstein 20 years ago.

I have been seeing him for six years now, 4 or 4 times a year as I have MS and am affected heavily in the cognitive functions department rather than physically.
I find him soft spoken, and kind, just what my personality responds best to, and will push me to help me open up about things I do not want to discuss.
Usually behind schedule because he doesn't kick you out of the office the second your appointment time is up, if you need the support he is there.
Great for helping exhaust the list of all possible coping techniques to help make things better in your life, or guidance on the pros and cons of the types of medications available if you are looking for pills.

Building wing is extremely hot in the hall way and office in the summer months despite fans and air conditioning, and parking lot is as expensive as getting a ticket as he runs late and lot F is usually full.

He has been aggressive and rude to me and have always left with tears. It took about a year to catch on. He will try to persuade you that you have cognitive processing problems and use his own unique tests for profit ($$). He will try to persuade you to take the same prescription medications that he is conducting studies on ($$). If it is not readily apparent that you have such problems, he will perpetually schedule you for pointless follow up's until your cognitive processing or mental illnesses are bad enough that he has an opportunity to lock you into some course of indefinite treatment ($$).

An absolute professional, Dr. Feinstein is not a psychologist with whom you talk about your problems; he is a psychiatrist, whose job it is to take a look at the evidence, and prescribe a treatment according to his diagnosis.

I was very impressed with his efficiency, his knowledge, and his professionalism.

I'm really excited to work with him throughout my journey with MS.

I met with Dr. Feinstein for the first time yesterday....and I was nervous! I had read all the reviews and was not looking forward to it because of the reviews.
He was great! Kind. Considerate. Understanding. Dr Feinstein tried to ease my fears and gave me options.
He was clear and caring in everything he said.
I will be going back in August for the cognitive testing .....THAT is when I will be tested for approximately 90 minutes by another person.....then have another appointment with Dr. Feinstein immediately after.
For my appt yesterday....I arrived early in case there was paperwork to fill out....there wasn't.
My appointment was for 1pm.....I was in his office at 1:10....we spoke for 25 min....I did not feel rushed...I knew this was for him to make the decision as to whether I required cognitive testing. I need it so I can get some answers.
Colleen his assistant was very nice, efficient and patient. Before I even left she had everything booked and explained where I would be checking in for the testing.

I have been seeing Dr Feinstein as an MS patient for about 10 years. Initially I found him detached and egocentric however as time has gone by I have seen a softer and more compassionate side to him. He has seen me on short notice whenever I've needed it. He always provides treatment to meet my needs at the time, listens to what I had to say and has made referrals based on that. I am satisfied with his care.
