Recently saw Dr. Feinstein for cognitive issues with my MS. I took a cognitive test in the winter with his assistant (psychometrist?) and she was very pleasant, gave clear instructions, and made the assessment much less anxiety-provoking. Dr. Feinstein told me the results of the test over our Zoom meeting and he was very clear about what the results meant for me. I was worried based on some of these reviews but Dr. Feinstein and his team were great and I have no complaints.

This doctor is highly inappropriate and argumentative. Extremely unprofessional. He exhibits no patience, understanding or compassion.

A brilliant and highly sympathetic Doctor. Not a trace of the lofty remoteness seen in some other psychiatrists. I have seen him over a number of years and find him extraordinarily intelligent, easy to converse with, and outstanding when it comes to empathy.

Arrogant, patriarchal, dismissive, utterly damaging. The most archaic and irresponsible physician in North American psychiatry. May his retirement arrive with premature speed.

Anthony Feinstein out my mom on a huge dose of antidepressants the minute she was diagnosed with PPMS in 2007. After that she was gone. She was never herself. I’m revisiting all of this because she died last week after a gruelling decade. I can’t believe this is legal. He truly ruined her life.

Have been seeingDr feinstein for about 10 years and Feel extremely thankful to have him as my doctor. I really don’t understand the negative comments as I have never experience with him that I would consider to be rude or rushed or uncaring whatsoever.he has been late (5minutes) once for me and apologized immediately. He has always seemed genuinely caring in speaking to me. He asks me to elaborate on my points which I would think if he was rushing wouldn’t happen. He refers to Sunnybrook as part of my family which makes you feel welcome and included in my treatment.I am struggling with depression for years and have always left his office with hope. Although my depression is not cured I am still alive and a lot has to do with him. Coleen is wonderful and I love her quirkiness. She has always been sweet and helpful. He couldn’t ask for a better partner in his office. All in all I am extremely grateful for Dr Feinstein and his team and feel lucky to have him as my doctor.

I feel like Dr Feinstein is treating me like just a number. After 1 yr out from the date of your accident you will be discharged...
He also prescribed a bunch of bogus anti depressants. Like if pharma was the cure to everything then we wouldn't need psychiatrists.

It feels like he is gaslighting you to say certain stuff so he can side with insurance companies. Very shady guy. Like right when you get into the office (usually being like 1 hr late) he will try to gaslight you to screw you over. Like not giving you enough time to answer questions.

What a horrible physician this person is. I don't even know why Dr. Feinstein is in clinical medicine.

I am not sure if he plays favorites but as a male, he is not friendly at all. Dr. Feinsten has an austere demeanor, making you not feel comfortable to tell your symptoms. I feel as if I am rushed during our meetings and he couldn't be careless about my wellbeing.

From multiple meetings with Anthony, he doesn't seem to care about his patients. This guy should retire from Sunnybrook perhaps be a tv doctor, thus leaving clinical medicine to physicians that care about patients.

Also every time I saw Dr. Feinstein he is always late for appointments

Every single time I saw Dr. Feinstein he was like an hour late for our appointment. It also doesn't help the receptionist Colleen is terrible....clearly she doesn't care about her job and is more preoccupied with her personal phone calls.

Dr. Feinstein seems like he doesn't even care about his patients. He doesn't ask or even give me the time of day to explain who I was before the accident. When I finally do get to see him, I get hardly any time to speak before he jumps to a prescription, like WTF dude I am trying to tell you my symptoms and you jump to a diagnosis and pills. Where did he learn medicine, the tv show House? He is a disservice to Canada and should go back to South Africa.

Receptionist Colleen is terrible!!!!!! She's extremely rude and does not like if you ask her to do anything that is job related. Dr. Feinstein is not helpful at all. He doesn't listen when you speak to him. He looks and acts like he's on some medication that suppresses his emotions and ability to communicate. He says one thing but when you leave he writes something else on paper. He signs you up for a study. Then your file gets lost and when you see him again (because you followed up) he asks why you didn't reach out sooner. Even though he said that his office will contact you for a follow up. I hate dealing with him and his receptionist. Absolute worst experience ever!
