First off, I have a pretty decent fear of dental procedures to begin with. When I found out I needed a root canal due to trauma on one of my teeth, I was terrified. I got referred to Dr. Peters and I am so glad I did. His bedside manner was exactly the type of comedic relief I needed to get myself through this procedure. He was funny, kind, and very knowledgeable. He let me know exactly what he was doing, and everything went smoothly with only a slight bit of pain from the needles. Would highly recommend if you need a root canal, or you need a good laugh. His staff were also extremely warm and welcoming.

This was an emergency appointment referred by my dentist. After reading some of the negative reviews I was somewhat apprehensive to have Dr Peters work on my already very sore tooth/jaw. I am very happy to report that the staff were great and Dr. Peter’s was amazing. He answered all of my questions, provided options and definitely explained the process every step of the way. I would highly recommend him!

I was not impressed with Dr. Peters. No professional explanation of procedure. Trouble finding the canals and after 5 visits his secretary wife over charged my bill.I had prepaid some of the visits .Left with a infected tooth that has to be removed after $1100. Now need 2implants done since I lost my current bridge

I was quite nervous to have a root canal. Dr Peters put me at ease almost immediately. Great chair side manner. Works efficiently and made it a completely painless experience! Would definitely recommend him to others

So grateful for Dr. Peters. Another dentist botched a filling leaving me with an exposed nerve a week before Xmas. I was in tons of pain but Dr. Peter’s office not only got me in asap but managed to joke and keep me calm throughout the procedure, effectively saving my Christmas and vacation. When I found a new dentist they said it was the best root canal they’ve ever seen, thank you for all you do! Absolutely the best in Halifax

I do not understand the negative comments here either. Angela is very pleasant and engaging as is Doctor Peters. He is quick witted, personable, friendly and empathetic. As someone who has had several root canals and implants Dr Peters work is impeccable. Keep up the great work Lacewood Endodontists

I don't understand the negative reviews - the office admin staff person is very friendly. They were able to get me on short notice, which was greatly appreciated as I was in major pain. Dr. Peters is like a well-oiled machine....very efficient and expert at what he does. I wouldn't say he's totally warm and fuzzy but he has a great sense of humour and I don't need someone to pat me on the hand....I need someone who knows what they're doing and to do it well.....and Dr. Peters fits the bill. I highly recommend him!

By far the worst medical/dental experience I have ever had. It has been a few years and I am still affected by the experience. I have seen Dr. Peter's twice. The first time was standard root canal with no issues. My second and last time was what was supposed to be a simple procedure, or so I thought. I went to him to be frozen as my dentist was not able to freeze me for a crown on a difficult tooth. When I sat in his chair I had mentioned that I had been to him prior for a crown. He abruptly said " you are mistaken, I don't do crowns" apparently I had confused my root canal for a crown. He appeared to be offended. So the he quickly shoved the needle in my mouth without any topical freezing first. He hit a nerve I am guessing because of the severe shocking sensation, I involuntarily twitched. He said if I kept "that" up I would only only make it worse on myself. His next attempt he applied so much pressure that his large metal needle sprung apart and all the local anesthetic was dispursed into my mouth. He sopped it up practically gagging me. At this point I was frozen with anxiety and adrenalin. I just wanted this experience to be over. His next attempt he roughly stuck me many time and said " that should do it" I cannot make this stuff up. I jumped out of his chair and without saying a word I left. Not sure how I made it safely to my dentist office as I had a tearful 20 minute drive. I made some pretty severe comments to my dentist when I arrived at her office. She no longer recommends him. It was not her first complaint. I still hate myself for 1. Not getting up and leaving after his 1st rude comment and 2. For not filing an official complaint with the dentistry board. Through sharing my story, I have heard plenty stories about him. I would not recommend him anyone!

Coming from someone who gets nervous going to the dentist, I would expect come level of comfort and he provided zero. Terrible bedside manners and he provided little knowledge in terms of what he was doing and what to expect afterwards. Will not be back and would not recommend.
