surprisingly, Dr. Solomons is very kind - humorous, smart , observant and considerate. He has a lot of good qualities for a psychiatrist . Had a visit today and learnt a lot of useful things about my condition - and he is not the kind that will prescribe you big drugs right away - he took down notes and really tell u what u need to do to get out of your situation other than medication. I hope he doesn't retire.

Total RBC Insurance and ICBC hack. Make sure you record the “Independent” Medical Exam even if you’re not supposed to. He DID lie in my interview. I have his report and I have a recording to prove it. But apparently, he is protected by a witness protection law in BC which should be illegal. So even if I presented that he lied, I couldn’t do anything about it. So this site is the only recourse I have. Old white guy in a posh office in the Marine Building in Vancouver with expensive paintings for my interview. We need privatization because doctors in BC have way too much protection by the government and their associations. They cannot self-regulate. And he’s a psychiatrist yet he is writing a report like he knows physiology and anatomy? Look up TED Talk’s “83000 brain scans” and it talks about how other doctors look, but psychiatrists guess and don’t look at the organ they’re treating. This psychiatrist is no exception.

This guy is a straight clown. Who lies and makes things up in his report writing. As previous comments he is a pawn. This guy can get himself in serious trouble with the way he manipulates people in distress and doesn’t diagnose them properly. What a goof. One day he’s going to run into the wrong person.

Confirmed in court to be an ICBC hack.

Dr. Solomons opinion was just thrown out of court for basically manipulating evidence to suit ICBC. Avoid at all costs.

Truly a monster in human form.
He came off as threatening at times and was negligent in his diagnosis.

The man was pleasant enough, but he's on ICBC's payroll. Before I went to my mandated psychiatric assessment assigned by ICBC due to being in a no-fault accident and suffering from a bad concussion, I did some due-diligence on this guy. He rakes in $1M+/yr from ICBC alone. So, I knew the type of questions to expect. As suspected, his analysis on my condition was more than a farce and somewhat comical. I could tell he was playing me by the questions he asked and the way he answered some of the intentional questions I asked him. So, if you're seeing this "doctor" for an ICBC psychiatric assessment due to a car accident, be very wary of this guy. He's sly like a fox, not objective at all and is owned by the ICBC mafia.

Why won’t he allow audio recordings during an IME? No other IME doctor includes a recording ban. There’s a reason of course. And of course, the insurance company only takes into account this “expert” (not!) rather than the real experts (doctors and researchers). Look up the Globe and Mail’s “Licensed to Bill” and you’ll see that biased IME’s are a huge problem. His fancy office furnishings (including huge paintings) are a clue to how much he gets paid for his reports. Funding bias is real. If credibility is important that an insurance claimant is interrogated like a criminal, then credibility should be investigated for IME doctors and insurance companies too. But that’s not allowed in our legal system. Hope that you never have an IME with this “doctor” for an insurance claim.

I rated this doctor a few years ago and I saw him randomly on the street recently. Thinking about how he treated me makes me very upset to know there are psychiatrist's like him who are getting paid by msp and icbc.
I usually don't write bad reviews on doctors but this is to warn others to be careful and record if you see him especially if it is for icbc purposes. I googled him and below shows how this doctor is biased as he gets paid a lot from icbc. I am so grateful the judge in this case rejected Dr. Solomon's review. This just proves how unfair icbc doctors are. It saddens me as well makes me very angry that these types of doctors only care about money.
