This guy is an moron!!! He is doctor who goes on to telling another health care provider on how to do their job when he himself don’t even know what he’s doing
His own kids are drug addicts and he himself has substance abuse issues I cannot imagine him being a psych doctor !! This psycho path is a crazy psychiatrist!!!

Saw this Doctor once few months ago for a so called Assessment. Bullied to the extreme and all that was cared about is what could I prove from abuse and bullying from one of his collegues. Refused to provide appropriate.....treatments and refused treatment for reporting abuse and speaking up about it that I have proof of and they as well. Refused treatment period because I spoke up of abuse that there are many forms of proof of and got his secretary ON TAPE....stating hes refusing care because of it. No professionalism or care of the lives that depend on these services only to be bullied by the very people that are supposed to be there to help. Has no clue of the danger of health conditions forcing patients to do something that may likely end in death. No clue of rare medical diseases..... bullying patients especially ones with disabilities is not ok. Supposed to have some form of ethics....there are none and no care for human suffering caused from this exact same thing. Disgrace to the field.

Post below me seems pretty jaded. Dr. Mowchun has helped me through some rough times. He doesn't say much, but when he does you can tell he's passionate. Never once felt pressured by him in any way, whether it be pills or behavioral changes. Would recommend him.

I first met dr.mochun at the state program in 2009, I unfortunately didn't finish the program due to the severe effects of depression and the inability to show up on a daily basis. Great program but clearly I was not healthy enough. Most currently in 2013 after 2 suicide attempts I was referred back to stat where I found Leon very dismissive. More concerned with making multiple appointments with his underlings than help me. I had 5 intake interviews over a few months. Testing my ability to show up I understand, however I begged for help, or referral elsewhere. The last appointment I missed, which they used as a reason to stop seeing me, was another suicide attempt which has left me slightly impaired,but alive. I'm upset such a man running such a program would be so indifferent because I wasted his time 4 years prior. That's my experience with Leon mochun

I was introduced to Dr. Mowchun while taking the Stat Programs at PX199 Day Hospital. Saw Dr. Mowchun in week 2 of stat very good course fast and overwhelming a lot of info. Dr. Mowchun saw me and kept on smiling and was very mindful on listening to what I had to say. Dr. Mowchun brainstorms to assist you in your needs to get better and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is short and sweet and makes you feel that you are not the only one going through hard times. He actually makes you feel relaxed his voice is very calming and tries to help u on the road which can be very scary once diagnosed. Dr. Mowchun is respectful and actually cares on your well being. I cannot say enough about Dr. Mowchun that he is a wonderful doctor and is a diamond in the ruff.

I have had Dr. Mowchun as my doc for over ten years and he changes with me (which is awesome). He is extremely patient, completely thorough and totally up to date on the latest and greatest treatments. His staff is amazing and i don't recall ever having to wait :)

Oh my god, I cant say enough about this guy! I've been jumping from doctor to doctor and specialist to specialist and no one has had anywhere CLOSE to the impact this man had on my life. He's got a FREAKY amount of knowledge. I would ask him about completely random, obscure, and sometimes obsolete medication that I was interested in and he seemed to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING. And you can tell he ACTUALLY cares! This is not just a job for him, you can really tell he cares about his patients and will do whatever it takes to make them feel better. He probably saved my life as well. I wish I knew a better way to thank him. Thank you Dr.Mowchun. -Reid

Non-judgmental approach. Made me feel very comfortable talking to him. Seems important to him to work with his team at the clinic-not a lone soldier.
