I was found to have kidney cancer in June of 2020 at the height of Covid! I talked to Dr Ashfield first on the phone and then in person. He was very caring and knowledgeable. I was one of the lucky cancer patients. Within 7 weeks I had a third of the kidney removed....with no chemo and no radiation therapy. I had complete and utter trust in Dr Ashfield. 3 years cancer free! His secretary Debbie was amazing to deal with as well!

Dr.Ashfield performed an operation on my toddler late last year. He was great at explaining the procedures, even had a telephone consultation with my spouse because only 1 parent could go to the appointment due to Covid restrictions. I had concerns following up the surgery and his secretary got me right in and he reassured me that all was going as planned. I could not be happier to have had him perform the surgery on my toddler. From pre operation to the after care has been a great experience. It's worrisome to have an infant go under the knife and Dr. Ashfield was very kind and compassionate throughout the entire process.

My entire experience with Dr. Ashfield, and his staff, was as good as one could expect under the circumstances. From his diagnosis (testicular cancer),the surgery, follow-up, and ability to answer all of my questions to put me at ease, everything was top notch. There is not one negative thing to say about how he, and his staff handled my sickness.

Dr. James Ashfeild is one of kind. I just have 100% trust in this man. Back in Nov 2017 he performed kidney surgery on me because I had kidney cancer. I am so glad to have him as my doctor.

I met this Dr.when I was taken by ambulance to Saint John Regional hospital pretty much comatose from a sepsis attack of my kidneys.I was admitted on June 9,2015 and had the pleasure (and good fortune) of meeting Dr. Ashfield when Dr. Graham Bishop brought him in to consult with me.those 2 doctors literally saved my life and I will be forever grateful thank you a million X Dr.Ashfield!!!!!! He basically told me there was nothing he could do for me. I have since found a different urologist on my own.
