I have had 2 surgeries by Dr. waslen. One was an extended tummy tuck with a body lift after a 100 lb weight loss. Another was just this week where he did a lateral and medial thigh lift and butt lift as I lost more weight and my skin could not be fixed on my legs the first time around due to time allotment (he doesn’t like to keep anyone under for more than 4 hours). I personally would rather him focus more on the problem areas than less so I get the best result. I agree he has no bedside manner and can tell you like it is...but I also think we need to hear the truth sometimes. I’ve had many compliments on my new petite body and am only in week 1 of my thigh snd butt lift recovery but my husband says I already look better even with the swelling. Even the nurses were amazed with my waist and butt! You know it’s good when the nurses make comments. Do I think he could be kinder -sure. But telling you what you want to hear is not what you need. Do not go in with unrealistic expectations they you will look like a model. It won’t happen. He can only work with what your body offers and he will do his best. I have to say I went to another consult for another surgeon in Calgary and he wanted to give me butt implants! I just lost 100 lbs to look smaller - why would I want to have a huge butt on my petite frame?! Dr. Waslen knew immediately not to do that.

I have had numerous surgeries over the last 19 years and Dr .Waslen is truly the master. Consultation to surgery, to the aftercare, Dr. Waslen and his team are exceptional. My upcoming surgery will be in celebration of my 50th birthday and I will trust no other that Dr. Waslen and his team from The Plastic Surgery Centre. So very grateful for the services provided and truly feel beautiful.

Experience counts. Dr. Waslen is one of the best plastic surgeons in the city if not the country. His expertise and years of experience is rare. He cares about his patient outcomes and surrounds himself with a team of professionals that also care about the patients in the clinic. They will drop everything to make room for a patient who needs them. I haven’t the room here or the superlatives to describe how highly I feel about this doctor and his team. From reception, and consultation to nurses and OR staff, they are all exceptional. I highly recommend them.

Dr waslen "corrected" my inverted nipples. One nipple was went right back in after a month and he refused to take any accountability or responsibility for it. Had it redone by him at half the cost of the initial procedure which I negotiated adamantly after he wanted to charge me full price again, and it has since gone back in again. The nipple that held looks like a button that's held together by wasps of thread. I'm honestly scared it might just fall off and die one day. He's arrogant and so expensive. Not worth it! Went to another plastic surgeon for breast augmentation and he was amazing! Do not go to Dr waslen!

Dr. Waslen must be the most experienced and qualified professional in the city - likely one of the most experienced the country. Experience is the basis of expertise in medical care and Dr Waslen is at the top of his field. The advice and service I received reflected that wisdom. We are lucky to have access to his talent.

He did my breast implants and did not do a good job. They were too large for my frame, one was noticeably lower than the other and they were quite wide apart. I ended up having breast revision surgery later to correct the look. Also, like many other breast augmentation surgeons, he did not mention the potential for breast implant illness, from which I suffered after having the surgery, including chronic headaches, fatigue, shortness of breath and other issues. I have since removed the implants, and would encourage you not to get implants from Dr. Waslen or others - you are beautiful the way you are, and it is not a healthy road to go down.

I cannot tell you how enough about I feel about this man and his team. I seen Dr Waslen and Elaine for different services that they provide in previous years. Today, I went because I had an exam at clinic last week that had nothing to do with him or what he did but it had me asking questions of concern. I called the office to talk to the nurse and they immediately asked me to come in.
Even though it was not pertaining to anything I had there, they knew I felt uneasy and asked me to come at the end of the day. When I walked in I could clearly see how busy their day was from surgery and they were running behind. They put me in to a room and when Dr Waslen came in he sat down and said "ok tell me what's going on" He then listened to me like I was the only patient in the building. He made my concern equally important as anyone else there. He didn't act inconvenienced or rushed. He just listened. That was not necessary but it was a priority to him. I left feeling so much at ease.
Dr Waslen has been nothing but consistent with his bed side manor and care since day one. Elaine his nurse is absolutely exceptional and the way she makes the way you look and feel a priority is above and beyond. Going to a surgeon/skincare specialist comes with a lot of fear concern and wonder. Its our body/face/future. There are a lot of choices out there. I have referred a lot of people to see them who have agreed and thanked me as they have been exactly what I have promised.
Today, however they went above and beyond even for me. Don't settle with your health and your future.

I thought I needed an entire facelift but Dr Waslen recommended I get a partial one instead. I was a bit unsure at first but am so glad I trusted him. He is professional, very experienced and came highly recommended. I travelled from out of province to see him and will do it again! Excellent office staff especially Taylor and Elaine.
