Seems nice at first but has an ego. Won't even bother helping you if you question his treatment plan. Heaven forbid you get a second opinion or leave the country for treatment. Was made to feel like I was about to die if I didn't immediately do what he wanted. Requested a new surgeon and ended up doing the same treatment plan with him but actually felt heard by him. That's the difference between kind and understanding doctors, and doctors who think they're God.

Dr. Olson performed my Lumpectomy at the Cross. My father had just passed away 2 weeks earlier, and that was followed by a shock breast cancer diagnosis after a clear mammogram. I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, and kind surgeon. He calmed me down and explained things clearly. Thank you.

Dr. Olson refused to look at scans, reports or even acknowledge treatment done elsewhere. His way or the highway. Guy is an ego-maniac with poor bedside manor. Stay away.

Wow this doctor LOVES the sound of his own voice. My appointment felt more like a performance he was doing than a consultation. Will be requesting another surgeon in the future.

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Olson was not a positive one. I was young and terrified when diagnosed with breast cancer. During my first app’t he chatted at length about a patient he saw that morning and how much bigger her tumour was than mine. It made me feel very dismissed. He missed an entire second tumour in my breast during the breast exam (it was palpable) and missed the fact that I never had a whole breast ultrasound. Thank goodness the 2nd tumour was found by a tech the day of the wire localization. It became obvious that he enjoyed the sound of his own voice and while I initially accepted his compliments as a pleasant distraction, I eventually found them fake and patronizing. With unclear margins, I had a mastectomy. Minutes before the surgery he went on a weird “we are family” rant with his face inches away from my face. It was all very uncomfortable/odd. There were numerous other incidences with him that made me lose faith in him as a caregiver. If I ever face breast cancer again, I’ll be requesting a different surgeon in the office.

Worst experience of my husband's life was letting this guy cut him open. Botched surgeries and no help afterwards. If I could give zero stars, I would. If you can get a 2nd opinion, do it. Do not let this guy operate on you. He will tell you he has your back for life and will always help you down the road- it is a lie.

Dr Olson was very personable. He made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me. During my surgery he was always checking on me and asking me if I was okay. He is an excellent doctor
