I agree with all the comments on this page except the one from Nov 2018. Dr. Mewa is an excellent doctor and people are extremely fortunate if Dr Mewa is your doctor.

I have started seeing Dr. Mewa after a devastating experience with my former Rheumatologist. I always left her practice feeling hyper. She refused to order an MRI of my entire spine when I asked for it due to ongoing symptoms. My Family Doctor came to my rescue, ordered an MRI and I have spinal stenosis which required EMERGENCY SURGERY at Sunnybrook Hospital! My spinal cord was being flattened and it could have been fatal if left unattended to.

Now to Dr. Mewa. HE IS A GENTLEMAN with lots of experience. He has a kind disposition and doesn't sugar coat the diagnosis. He is very connected to his patients' health. His secretary Helen is a pleasure to interact with. Dr. Mewa is truly a gem. He is an extremely patient and compassionate man. His suggestions for treatment are on point. I am grateful to be under his expert care. We are lucky to have Dr. Mewa as a Rheumatologist in Toronto. I've seen him at the Holland (Sunnybrook) and at his practice.

Had my second appointment with Dr. Mewa today. I first saw him at the Holland Orthopedic Hospital. Thank God for Dr. Mundi, my Surgeon, who recommended Dr. Mewa to me.

He listens. Allows you to ask questions. He answers and doesn't blow you off. I am so fortunate to be in his care. Grateful. Helen, his Assistant is professional, efficient and polite. Dr. Mewa is an experienced diagnostician. We are fortunate to have him.

I saw Dr. Mewa for the first time last month and I was extremely impressed by his knowledge, pleasant manner and genuine care . When you are in his office , you feel you're being totally taken care of and supported. The other great thing about this office, is the Dr's assistant, Helen, she is absolutely helpful, efficient and caring I am so appreciative of her quick response to questions and concerns. She is awesome!

He is a very rude doctor, never listens to his patents. Went to his clinic with my Uncle, and he made us wait for more than 1hr even with an appointment. My Uncle said this was the norm there. I accompanied inside with him, and i found his behaviour towards him very rude, btw my uncle speaks in broken english, and wanted me to translate to him. I felt like he has too much of pride, he was saying "i am a doctor and i know better", yes you are but you should also consider your patients queries. After this we asked our family Dr to refer to another specialist. I would not recommend him personally from experience.
