He is the best . He fixes you then it's up to you to do as he says. If you don't it's your fault

Dr Pyper may be a bit short on pleasantries, but he knows what he is doing. That is what matters most to me. Although I am waiting for foot surgery - he can't do anything about the two-year waiting time - he has been very forthcoming with information and injected cortisone into my foot with great skill.

This man gave me back my life. His skill in doing my knee replacements - yes, two of them - has allowed me to walk again virtually pain free. Follow up visits are thorough. He always always has time to answer my questions and is always polite and kind if sweet. I recommend him without hesitation.

supposed to be be a great doctor, complained about my leg being longer right after hip replacement surgery he said oh don't worry its fine. NOW just went for xrays a year + later.... my whole pelvis is twisted easily over 1.5 inches higher from one side to the other...he is all confident that he does 300 hips a year but unfortunately quality is actually more important that quantity. i specifically asked before the surgery how do you make sure the legs are the same length when you do the surgery, because when i look online they always have a large measuring machine they use. he said i don't need that. TRUST ME that didn't work out for me.... do not trust this unsympathetic drone. he just pumps out the surgeries and doesn't care about the quality!! no wonder he makes it hard to get a hold of him.... hes avoiding all the callbacks :( avoid this guy like the plaige!

I found this doctor and his staff to be rude and arrogant. Dr. Pyper did a bunion surgery that resulted in more pain & discomfort than I was originally dealing with. He did not answer my questions in a direct manner and was fairly sarcastic. I did not find him as amusing as finds himself. I sought advice from another surgeon who recommended I have the surgery redone. I don't think Dr. Pyper is a talented surgeon. My first follow up appointment was very difficult to book, his staff felt it was not necessary (regardless of the discomfort I felt even 1.5 yrs post surgery.

Amazing surgeon! He fixed my shoulder so I could pursue a career in law enforcement and now my fixed shoulder is better than my good one! Excellent man, saved my life and now I am successful and happy. The physiotherapist said that my shoulder repair was well done and nice ad tight. He even did subQ stiches so I my scars wouldn't show on my wedding day (His words) he said he knows how important that kind of thing is for girls. Now you barely notice the scar. A+

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I tore my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus when I was in an NBA D-League Training camp (yes i had a chance to play pro basketball) I came back and went to see this doctor. He scoped my knee to trim the torn parts of my meniscus (which he actually took out. After the scope I was booked 6th on the waiting list for ACL reconstruction, its 1.5 years later now and I STILL HAVE NOT HAD THE SURGERY!!! I phoned the other day and said they took me off the list because I was on it for over a year. (yet they never told me they were taking me). Also I got a blood clot due to the knee scope, I now have Arthritis setting in(I am now 21). Also when I asked if I will ever be able to play at the NBA Development level again he yelled "Why would you ever think of playing sports again!! Focus on your knee and hope you can even walk normal again".......... I hope this stops at least one person from this doctor!

On March 1st I had a knee scope on my right knee. I have never been the same since ... it has now been over 9 months since my surgery and I experience knee pain every day. I would not waste my time with this doctor. He is way overbooked and will not spend a lot of time with you. He sees too many patients and his quality of work has suffered, unfortunately at my expense. His fix for everything is a cortozone shot. Seeing all of the negative reviews about this doctor has made me wish I did my research beforehand. STAY AWAY!!

I had a knee scope done in August, 2011 after going through 18 months of knee pain after an accident. After the scope was done, I was told there were minimal findings and ever since the scope was done, I have never been in so much pain. When attending follow up appointments with Dr. Pyper, the detail he provides is VERY MINIMAL and doesn't provide help for my pain or needs. I have been going to physio and communicating with my family doctor on a regular basis and they do not agree with Dr. Pyper's approach with my knee problems. I have now been referred to a new Orthopedic Surgeon in Hamilton do help get my knee situated. DO NOT SEE DR. PYPER FOR ANY OF YOUR ORTHOPEDIC NEEDS!

Unsatisfied. The over-bookng is incredible - nice charges to OHIP no doubt. Waited over an hour - no aplogies by the staff or by Dr. Pyper. This wait was then followed by a 5 minute consult to deal with a foot issue. The solution offered was to book an appt. at the fracture clinic for a shot of cortisone which I could have done in my GP's office. Not going back. Unimpressed to say the least.
