My experience with Dr Finelli started two months ago when I was referred to him. He kindly agreed to do my surgery in less than a month. After the surgery, I am recovering daily and have no side effects. After such a significant operation, my daily life indicates that he has done an excellent job. I am very thankful and recommend him heartedly.

I found Dr Finelli to to be to the point and personally consider him to be as the best. He removed my prostate on March 23 2006 . In two more days I will have commenced my 18th year . What will become of me from here on I don't know but I can only say Dr Finelli's surgical skills has contributed to a near trouble free 17 years and coming to my 80 birthday I owe him an extreme debt of gratitude.

His staff might as well just go home. No one answers the phone or returns calls, why bother having a phone number? Dr. Finelli just has assistants talk to his patients...I guess he is too busy or is not interested. Be careful with this team, if you get referred be prepared to be ignored.

About a year ago I was diagnosed with Gleeson 7 prostate cancer. I did a lot of research and decided my best option was get referred to Dr. Finelli (thinking that one of the top surgeons & oncologists on the planet at one of the world's best cancer hospitals was the way to go!). I was fortunate to be accepted by Dr. Finelli in early April as a candidate for robotic laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Dr. Finelli gave up a beautiful Saturday in July to perform my surgery and I was home Sunday afternoon! Like the previous writer, my surgery was a huge success. I hardly used any of the meds sent home with me and after two weeks the catheter and staples were removed and I was back to my usual routine (I'm very active) in no time. No further treatment has been required as supported by my most recent PSA test. I am so grateful that Dr. Finelli used his incredible skills, knowledge and experience to treat this 71 year old! The staff at PMH have been very supportive and the UHN portal and telephone consultations have been very helpful and convenient. I highly recommend Dr. Finelli and the staff at PMH.

I cannot say enough fantastic things about Dr. Finelli!!! He is my oncologist. I chose him for his exemplary reputation and skill as a world-class urological surgeon. His reputation is very well earned. I pleaded with him to take me as a patient, based upon his reputation. He performed a robotic laparoscopic radical prostatectomy on me after I was diagnosed with Gleeson 9 aggressive cancer. I put my trust and faith in Dr. Finelli, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The surgery was a huge success. I highly, highly recommend him as a surgeon and oncologist. He truly is world-class. Do not be impatient with Dr. Finelli. He is incredibly busy because he is so highly sought after. Respect that he is trying to help as many people as he can, and feel very lucky if he can take you on as a patient. It may save your life or quality of life. Really. A truly great surgical oncologist whose skill stands up to his excellent reputation. His staff is extremely responsive and supportive as well. A great team! I'm lucky to have them on my side.

I just left a rating for Dr Finelli - about an hour ago. I rarely ever post comments online. However, since my radial prostatectomy and subsequent radiation I have had all the worse side effects - incontinence and total impotence. And it has affected my life greatly. The inability to actually see or even talk to medical experts since Covid has not helped. Anyway, while in my opinion I could not commend Dr Finelli's attitude towards me post surgery, where I find him to be rather flippant and not really "present" or seemingly that concerned. However,I can't speak really about his actually prowess as a surgeon, as they are like fighter pilots I suppose. Do their job and on to the next. And it's still a bit too early to know exactly how successful the procedure was? But it does seem things are moving in the right direction where my PSA are concerned. As such, I have asked to have my initial comments to be removed, which hopefully they will be. As parts of them were written out of anger and frustration. And perhaps that is not fair. Thank you
