I saw Dr Cockhill for several years via her private practice. She was very helpful during these visits. There were numerous gaps in her care, due to her health challenges. Eventually she failed to show up for an appt, and didn't respond until FIVE months after I left messages, texts and emails. I consider this VERY unprofessional behaviour. A doctor should find some way to contact her patients and offer alternative sources of treatment even if she is struggling with health issues herself. My trust was broken by this rupture in our relationship and I am only now (two years later) beginning to seek help with my ongoing depression from other professionals.

A brilliant analyst in my opinion. Makes it very hard to outsmart her or to avoid issues. She skillfully helped me identify my personality challenges and destructing thinking patterns without crushing my ego. Then she challenged me to change those and supported me with specific strategies. Also helped me to connect to and manage my feelings. I’d say at least 2/3 of my recovery from a mental illness was due to our work. She is interesting and fun to work with and is empathetic.

Dr. C is such a great psychiatrist. She is warm and down to earth, but also knows lots about medications and eating disorders. She helped me get through my feears of taking meds by listening to me and including me in the decision. She treated me before so I know she is trying to improve her punctuality. Highly recommend her but she only works at the hospital.

I found her to be somewhat condescending if you were inquisitive or wanting to learn more. She couldn't 'think outside the box' and, I think, takes the status quo too much. I wish she would have thought more for herself and not just taken what was presented to her as the only way to treat. Not everyone is the same and sometimes it's better to be flexible. I think she has good intentions though.
