Dr. Greidanus replaced my hip in March 2019. I was worried about the surgery as my surgical consultation appointment seemed rushed. However, the surgery could not have went smoother. I only saw Dr. Greidanus for about 30 seconds before surgery, but all the other staff were amazing. My stay at UBC Hospital went well and the staff there were so kind and professional. There is absolutely nothing but praises for the entire team. Not sure what I was worried about. Thank you to Dr. Greidanus and his entire team.

After a 90 min. drive & 15 min. to find parking & expense. I was kept waiting by his assistant for 45 min. then another 15 to see Dr. Greidanus after his questions. Very frustrating.

Nelson has done both hips and both knee and I am still playing ice hockey at 68 years old......In my view, he is certainly one of the top orthapaedic surgeons in British Columbia ...Lydia; his long time administrative assistant is simply the best! .......Doug Johnston

They wouldnt let me on list as Im out of town not too far but they did when I begged ..Ive been to Abbotsford and Chiliwack and the impression overall is the latter are Dickensian in their paternalism and methodology. No injections for 2 wks after, just a bandage and I could shower away from it the day I got home as opposed to no shower for 10 days with the other replacements..the doctor was professional but warm and showed me all the xrays ..little time but super professional with firm commitment to fix me.

Knowledgeable. But that is so not all that a good surgeon requires to be GREAT. This doc has a huge ego, and no empathy to back it up. I saw him before surgery and never after until follow up, and then for a few minutes at a time. There was not any calm, compassionate advice beforehand when I was the most nervous. And the nurses at VGH were AWFUL. Truly awful. I have since sought out surgeons at St. Paul's for subsequent operations and will only and always go there instead. The orthopedic team at SPH is top notch and could teach Dr. Greidanus a whole lot.

I would definitely not recommend this doctor I waited 21 months for first appt and he gave me about 10 minutes of his time first visit after an hour and a half office wait. He is just appears to
betoo busy and his cavalier attitude made my TKR feel like he was doing minor surgery. His surgery on me (prob done by a student) had a poor result and I still have persistent pain and swelling. After a two year further wait and lack of response from his office, he finally paid attention and tried unsuccessfully to remedy the situation. Again, in my visits he seemed pressed for time, had not appeared to review his notes form the previous visits and changed his mind on remedies which have still been unsuccessful and left me in chronic pain. Most frustrating medical experience I have ever had!

I just loved Dr Greidanus when he did my knees. We did both knees at the same time and it was perfect. He was attentive and just oozed confidence, but not in an arrogant way. He knows his stuff and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Greidanus gave me my life back. 10 years have past since my hip resurface and I have never have had any problems with it. I walk better then I did befor. As my friends have said, "you dont even look like you have had a hip resurface". With Dr Greidanus skills, ability and confidence as Orthapedic Surgen you can feel rest assured that you are in good hands and have picked the right Surgeon to take good care of you. I have so much Gratitude for this man as Orthopedic Surgon, he gave me my life back by giving me the ability to walk again. Thank you Dr Greidanus for making a difference in so many peoples lives !

Im 41 and had a tkr on Oct 06 2017 by Dr. Greidanus I needed hardware removed due to previous surgery. I was so nervous and Dr Griedanus team made me feel at ease and comfortable. I'm 1 week postop and I am doing 97 percent of everything on my own. My incision looks really good and healing nicely. Thank u Dr. Greidanus and his team you've done a awesome job. I would rate this Dr. 10/10 he is awesome and would recommend him to anyone who needs a replacement.
