I went to see Dr. Grundy because I live in Saskatchewan, where we have only one endocrinologist for the whole province! Dr. Grundy was kind and changed my treatment to make my life easier!

I was referred to Dr Grundy to treat my diabetes years ago and have found him to be exceptionally knowledgable, if somewhat distant in our early encounters. But in 2001, he caught a lump in my throat that turned out to be thyroid cancer. He didn't catch it from a lab test: this was hands on medicine the likes of which you don't see much in our high tech world. Of course when he said the C word, I freaked, but he calmed me down, told me he would get me in to the best surgeon in town, and basically hand-held me through a very long year.
I came to realize that the distance I felt is part of his professionalism.
Peter is a good guy, and a very good doctor.

An absolute waste of time! This man has a God complex and if you dare question him, he has no problem telling you how you and other doctors don't know anything. For the better part of two years, I had little to no improvement with his consultations. What I love is how specialists in other fields I see get mad at me for Grundy’s lack of proper medical care. But no one stepped forward to phone Grundy and question him or get me into to see a better endocrinologist. The only reason I am getting better is because I am not following any of Grundy’s recommendations of drugs/dosages and paying for tests Grundy thinks are unnecessary – tests that are coming back abnormal. He only uses synthroid and refuses patients dessicated thyroid if you are hypothyroid. He did not adequately prescribe type and dose of vitamin d to not only increase my levels but treat my hyperparathyriodism. He totally ignored by my lack of hormonal imbalance. Doctors like this keep people sick.

i had my thyroid removed last year (cancer) and have seen him twice over the past 6 months, and absolutely adore him! i honestly just made this account so i could share my own opinion of dr grundy! i read the other reviews here when i was referred to him, and was dreading my appointment, but i'm so glad he is my endo! i'm a 20 yr old female, am doing this whole thing on my own, and the staff and dr grundy have been nothing but nice to me! he is never very late for appointments, is thorough, answers all my questions, and gives me all the information i could ever need! he fills up fast so i book appointments 8months+ in advance, but thats normal! hes' even filled out paperwork for me when my health insurance needed special authorization for a prescription! i've my coordinated 2 rounds of RAI with him and everything is always taken care of nicely! he monitors my bloodwork and calls me and my pharmacy when we need to change my dosage! i couldn't be happier!

The staff at this office should be fired and replaced. They are rude and unprofessional. I refuse to go back to see this doctor. I have cancelled appointments only to be told I did not do so! I fine the time I take to drive downtown, park, sit for and hour and then have 3-5 min with him is a waste of my time. He never follows up with patients and rarly has done anything for me! I learned to adjust my own medication and find other helpful ways to deal with my disease. I left a message once to have my call returned a month later. Give me a break. If you have that many patients, I suggest you get rid of some!

Dr. Grundy is kind and shows great compassion. He knew my levels were out prior to the blood work. While he is a very busy doctor he spends a considerable amount of time and energy with patients. I did get the sense that he cannot tolerate people coming in with trivial complaints. Unfortunately, I do not have trivial complaints and he needs to use his expertise which is top rate.

Very rude! Didn’t listen to my problems at all! Even said my own doctor was crazy for choosing the treatment that we agreed on. He was so disrespectful to me!

Met Dr. Grundy in the Hospital and at his Office downtown. Every time he was kind & helpful. Never had to wait to see him as i would for any other doctor appointment here in Calgary. However, i do agree that his staff are not overly friendly by any means.

Dr. Gundy was very friendly during my time spent in the Hospital but the moment that i stepped into his office downtown, i felt as though he was a completely different person. There was an arrogance about him and an unwillingness to listen to my concerns. And, his staff... OMG! All i can say is that Calgary must be desperate for workers. I'm not sure if it's lack of Education but they certainly do not understand the meaning of "Customer Service".
