My son had ear tubes put in by Dr. Shandro over a year and half ago. Everything was turned out great and since he has had no more ear infections (thank goodness since he was having them every month for 6 months). I think Dr. Shandro is a great doctor and very knowledgeable but he doesn't have the best bedside manners. But hey, I guess sometimes the best doctors don't have the best bedside manners.

I am an adult male and had surgery by Dr Shandro. He is very professional and good at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone who requires a competent and helpful surgeon.

Dr. Shandro has been looking after my nose for years. He has always explained what is going with my sinuses. His care has been outstanding. I would recommend him to anyone.

Was very grateful that staff got me on cancellation list and I got an appointment the next day instead of my 3 month wait. I ended up seeing a Dr. William Campbell, who apparently was there only temporarily (his name was writen on a piece of paper taped to the door above Dr. Shandro's nameplate). This guy was the nicest and most helpful Dr. I have ever seen outside of the ones in my own family. I never saw Dr. Shandro at all, but staff was great and this Dr. Campbell was too.

My daughter had tubes put in twice by Dr Shandro. Each time he has been excellent. He isn't overly verbal but if you ask him the right questions he always takes the time to answer. He checked in on my daughter after surgery (within minutes after she came out of recovery) and always assured us that all went well. Initially he took his time to follow our daughter before suggesting surgery which we were happy about. He is thorough. I find him kind and gentle with my daughter, I know she is in good hands. Like any doctor he isn't gushing with emotion but that's expected. He did a good job on my daughter's ears, twice now.... His waiting time is shorter than other ENTs, it's almost impossible to get in to see a pediatric ENT so this is your best bet if your child needs tubes.

SurgeryDate:May,2008@PeterLougheedCalgary. SurgeryType: Septoplasty and Right Submandibular gland excision. Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong and even more; Bud the **** Shandro didn't even had the courtesy to come by my bed after surgery and just tell me how it went, I had to take an appointment after my surgery just to discus it with him and inform him about the complications: My lingual nerve was damaged leaving me with severe nerve palsy i.e. unable to move my tongue or feel anything on the right half, this went on for four months after surgery this happened during submandibular gland exscision, he forgot to take out all the stiches after 7 days, had to remind him after I found out threads in the wound As for the septoplasty, I have a perforation in my nose, today I consulted another ENT surgeon and according to him my nose and inner sinuses opening have been permanently damaged due to surgery. Maybe thats why I keep getting sinus infectoins after my surgery.

I had septoplasty and sinus surgery in October. I appreciated his skill and knowledge. I'm starting to feel better and I owe it to Dr. Shandro. He is kind and gentle. Intelligent (I can't claim to have a medical degree, can you?), thorough and caring. People love to complain and without them, the world would be bland. We are each entitled to an opinion and a voice. My treatment and care have been phenomenal. Without Dr. Shandro, I would have suffered until late spring. I am thankful and grateful.

This doctor operated on my nose without taking a cat scan almost 15 months ago.I have been very, very ill since. I went to him twice afterward and told him something had to be wrong. He treated me as if I was imagining things and after the second appointment refused to see me. After 8 months of puss, blood scabs, mucus draining from my nose and down my throat, and 7 times on anti botics for infection, severe sinus headaches,NEVER HAD THEM BEFORE, my family doctor referred my to another specialist. It took 7 months to see him. On the first appointment, he put a camera up both sides of my nose. The result? Doc. Shandro had made a complete mess,he had put holes right through the sinus walls. The whole area filled with infection. He has seen this done BY THIS DOCTOR BEFORE.I have been put on anti biotics for 6 weeks, hoping to clear it up for a new cat scan,to see IF AND HOW IT MIGHT BE FIXED. IT COULD INVOLVE SEVERAL OPERATIONS. DONT LET THIS DOCTOR TOUCH YOU!! I AM IN PAIN EVERY DAY!!!
