Incredible doctor. Spends time with the patient (more than any other doctor I know). People complain of long wait times, but she makes up for it when she spends roughly 1/2 hour with each patient. Very caring and willing to help. She's the kind of doctor that makes you better when you're sick, refers you to other specialists when you need it, but doesn't over-diagnose or create a nation of hypochondriacs. People have the courage to complain on anonymous sites, but they don't realize that practising medicine is a tough business with a whole heck of a lot of responsibility. She does her job with passion and professionalism, and I can't ask for anything more. I'm happy to have a doctor like Dr. Ileana Parlea. Truly an incredible family physician. As for the receptionists, both Adriana and Lisa are incredible. No words can express how kind, helpful, and great they are. Mulțumim mult. -Niculina and Ionel Vlad

P.S. Don't judge an entire practice and a family physician by the ratings on sites like this. Sadly it is only the people who are disappointed, have a grudge or negative opinion that choose to spend their time writing these. Unfortunately the 99% of happy patients don't think about writing these reviews because they're happy with her practice! So keep in mind that the overall review is biased as it doesn't represent the average...only the dissatisfied. This doctor is incredible her staff are top quality. And I, along with my family, are not only pleased...but we are thankful to have a wonderful doctor like her. Overall A+....... No complaints! ;)

They really need to find another system to book appointments. It makes her practice look bad in the community.

Waited 2 weeks for appointment. Very short wait in waiting room though, last time seen almost immediately. Dr Parlea was thorough and listened carefully to my concerns. A good dialogue developed. No hesitation to book follow up work, and I was still out in about 15 min.

- Awful Doctor. Always say's your fine, Over books. Long waiting time periods. Money hungry. Slow as a turtle. Miss diagnoses patients, Never runs tests. Favorite phrase YOUR FINE! Secretary B U L L S H I T...Pick up a phone! Always in a hurry. RUDE! She could careless about her patients. She is not confidential shares personal information with other waiting patients. Stay away from this doctor if you want to have good health before it's to late like many of her patients already. She is not professional! KEEP AWAY!!!!

Time to get an appt is at minimum 2 weeks - go to walk in clinic instead. Appts are a minimum wait time when there of 1-2 hrs if you cant wait they want to charge you for cancelling. i find her very demeaning to you instead of helpful

She is a horrible Doctor I would not recommend anyone to her. She is never on time, extremely rude and has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. Her receptionist’s are very rude when you call and are not helpful what so ever. I can go in and tell her what to write on the prescription and she will. She doesn't care about the patients. It’s unfortunate there are Doctors out there like her.

You need to pack a lunch before going to see her because you will be waitimg for at least 2-3 hours. When you finally get in to see her she rushes you, she makes you feel like your taking up her time! Don't even get me started on the 2 receptionist's, especailly the doctor's sister they are both MISERABLE!!! To make an appointment is a mission in itself as well, you pretty much have to book your morning off to try to call and get through to make an appointment and when you finally do get through they only have openings in 3 weeks time, you might as well just go to the emergency room, yes you'll probably wait 4 hours before seeing a doctor but at least you can see a doctor and not have to wait 3 weeks.

Guys, this is underserviced Kitchener, Ontario - few family physicians available and the ones that are are overloaded. Waiting times are better than with my previous physician in this region. I found that she takes the time and does not try to rush me out the door. Great with children as well.
