I had a bilateral hip replacement done in 2008 and 15 years later I’m still doing great! Dr Duncan made me feel so supported and his sense of humour I’ll always remember. A true professional, dedicated to his work, and, changing the lives for so many. I’m so grateful to have had him as my surgeon.

While studying at UBC in the early ninetees, I had my both hips replaced at the age of 27 in 1993. These surgeries were life changing at the time. They prevented me from ending up in a wheelchair. At the age of 57 I am still walking and enjoying my hips. I live in the Netherlands and am extremely proud of my Canadian hips. Thank you, dr. Duncan, for doing such amazing job and giving me back quality of life.

Had both hips done in 1995 and 1996. No pain since. Have done my part by keeping weight down and no high impact exercise. Only now feeling bit sore doing some exercises.

Hip replacement in 2019. Dr Duncan and his whole team were thorough, kind, FUNNY, and professional throughout. They answered my endless questions and made me feel comfortable and calm. My new hip is hypo-allergenic (extreme metal allergies) and after a year and a half I’ve had no problems with it at all. Why oh WHY did I wait so long?

Dr. Duncan performed my total hip replacement in August 2019. He and his surgical team were amazing. I felt safe and well cared for at all times. I cannot say enough good things about my preop and intraop experience. Spinal block went in with care and compassion. My xrays at 6 weeks were perfect and a year later, I feel great, no pain, walking some days up to 15km. The postop care at UBC was hit and miss: they forgot about a bowel protocol so I ended up needing an invasive treatment for severe constipation; one nurse refused to help me shower on the morning of discharge so I had my adult daughter help me (not appropriate); my first physiotherapist didn't read the notes to see that I had excruciating pain combined with low blood pressure and he tried to force me to get out of bed - he was promptly replaced with a much better physio.

Total hip replacement revision surgery by Dr. Duncan. I could not be happier. He is professional and to the point, answering all my concerns and, after the surgery, I am a new man. You couldn't wish for a better surgeion.

Had a really good experience with both the office and Dr Duncan. Had a new hip done Dec 2019 and it was a total success. Very confident, able surgeon and he communicated well and made the whole experience easy and comfortable. The new hip is fantastic

I had a total hip replacement in 2008 with Dr. Clive and the results were amazing. I am now on the waiting list to have my 2nd hip done and I chose him again with zero hesitation. His staff and the staff at UBC were tremendous.
