Treatment with Dr. Kotarba is ongoing, but so far no complaints. She is not warm and fuzzy, but then, most doctors aren't, in my experience. She was kind in making our situation seem still hopeful, and seems to be ensuring all avenues are covered before we start invasive treatment.

She did make a comment in our first consultation about my thinness, which seems to be on the opposite spectrum of people complaining that she is fatphobic. I didn't take it personally.

I feel that many of these reviews are one time only reviews with Dr. Kotarba. I had a years long journey with her with many ups and downs. She is a straight shooter who has to deliver emotional news very often. It must be very difficult to do that the “right” way for everyone. Ultimately it was my trust in her extensive knowledge that lead to our beautiful baby girl. In my experience, she saw possibilities where others didn’t. I will be forever grateful.

I wish I had read all these reviews before starting with Dr. Kotarba. Please don't take these bad reviews in stride. The fact that when I write this review and there are 10 pages with the majority being negative reviews should speak volumes.

I sadly have also experienced awful care from Dr. Kotarba and her admin staff. Like many other reviews state she is cold, unhelpful and extremely rude. In a profession and situation that is extremely intimae and emotional she offers zero support.

At my first consult appointment she did not ask me any questions and scolded me for my blood sugar levels even though this was a new diagnosis and I had started a complete diet change, daily exercise and medication but she did not even allow for that knowledge to be shared. As well, during this first appointment she also threw tons of tests in our face with no explanation or clarification and I was so overwhelmed that I did not book them until much later.

It should be noted that during all the tests, the nurses and doctors that helped me out were amazing and provided exceptional care. My negative visits were only with Dr.Kotarba and her admin team.

When the tests were done we finally saw Dr.Kotarba for our second appointment and I was hoping that our first experience was bad due to it being online and being the first time. Well, this wasn't the case. During this appointment she went over the results like a robot. I had brought along a book to record our chat and she noted the book but when she saw I was struggling to write to keep up, she did not change her speed or language. She began to jump into blaming me for my weight and blood sugar and my irregular cycle date, to which I had to interrupt her to update her of my new changes. Upon hearing the good news her tone changed a little bit but she was still speaking as if we were still "at fault". She stated that my partner may need some follow up testing but would start with 1 test to start. She then tried to dismiss us before even giving us a chance to ask any questions. When we did ask our questions she dismissed our concerns and acted like they were dumb questions to ask which left us again feeling awful and to blame...again.

From there we only told about one of our follow up appointments but it turns out that she changed her mind without informing us and asked her admin to email us with a follow up date, and a request for 3 more tests. Somehow this email never made its way to us. We only found out about this after I requested to change doctors. The new doctor's admin reached out to me to let me know about an appointment we had the following week which neither my partner or I was ever informed about. The new admin had a closer look and saw that the original email never went through so Dr. Kotarba's staff never followed up with this. Needless to say it had been months since our last appointment so we were very upset that we could have been taking care of all this testing had the original admin paid attention to the status of the email.

Overall Dr. Kotarba has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered and her admin team seems lazy or incompetent. I hope that if you are reading this you stand up for yourself and voice your concerns and look for a different doctor at OFC.

My husband and I went into the clinic for routine ultrasound to check on the growing baby. Unfortunately the ultrasound showed that the fetus was no longer growing. The staff came in and told us exactly what was going on. They were all kind and give us time to process. We met with Dr. Kotarba shortly after. She was kind and offered comfort by saying there was nothing we did or could do. She comforted me throughout the appointment even though I showed no signs of sadness. Her words have stuck with me and continues to comfort me. I have had her as my Doctor for over 5 years and cannot say enough good things about her.

I really would NOT recommend this physician-very cold and unprofessional. She is really belittling her patients, sometimes can be quite rough while giving explanations to my questions. Quite sad to see someone like that working in a place where patients need support and kindness. Changing physicians.

Dr. Kotarba is one of the rudest doctor’s I have been to. Note, I am a physician too and her bedside manner really caught me off guard. People who go and seek help for fertility issues are already quite sad and sensitive - some compassionate care from Dr. Kotarba would have be appreciated. I think that fertility clinic is not her place - she is quite cold, disinterested and very condescending as a personality, to the point where the only thing I wanted to do is run! Please don’t choose her on your journey. Go with anyone else in the clinic! Overall, giving her low rating based on my comments above.

Dr. Kotarba is the best fertility doctor I've worked with! She designed the perfect protocol for me that resulted in five healthy embryos and a successful transfer. Thanks to doctor Kotarba, I have finally achieved my dream of having a child.

I. really enjoyed Dr. Kotarba's approach – she's very patient, knowledgeable, experienced, and factual. She brought the perfect balance of objectivity and compassion to her communication with me and my partner. Words can't express my level of gratitude to her and her staff!

I have to agree that she is rude, cold and condescending. She told me I was too old and would probably miscarry even if I got pregnant. The stats she gave me werent necessarily wrong but its all in the manner you deliver it and her manner needs improvement. I finally convinced her to put me on a certain type of medication and got pregnant right away and delivered a healthy baby girl at 41 years old. Basically, go to her, get physically checked out, get facts but don’t let her affect you mentally. Unless there is something physically wrong with you, don’t let her convince you it cannot happen

Was the most unhelpful doctor i have ever seen. Basically told me to conceive naturally, she will not help and IUI will make no difference. Very disappointed. Kept mentioning my age as if it is an excuse to not help (i'm not that old!)
