He is a great doctor he has been my doctor for well over 15years. Without him I would not be alive today. He is a great doctor and a caring person, who goes beyond what any professional ever has to make sure his patients are cared for.

Dr. Vickar is probably the best psychiatrist I've ever had. He's tough, so of course I didn't like him (I was the patient), but in the end he did help me and ultimately saved my life. Good qualities include: Listening, patience (mostly), caring, tough love, and persistence. Bad qualities include: Falling asleep mid-conversation, chest hair poking through his shirts, eating like a dinosaur (T-Rex to be specific), sitting with his legs open too much, nodding a LOT, being unfashionably late, sometimes showing up to work in his spandex biking shorts (Really, Dr Vickar? Why?), being too stubborn in his opinions, and just being plain weird. Overall, my experience was pretty good with him. Yep.

You won't find a finer doctor. He genuinely cares about his patients, and uses all he has at his disposal, be it his sense of humour, his anecdotes, his personal experience, anything to help him with each patient. My child admires and respects Dr. Vickar, as do the rest of us in the family. We trust him completely.

eric vickar, what a guy! amazing psychiatrist no doubt but does have a tendancy to "fall asleep" during sesh. He also talks with a very "posh" accent when talking with his patients, it really makes you feel comfortable. Love his random quotes, talks on tangents.

Definitely found his calling....an amazing adolescent psychiatrist who provides exceptional care because he really cares! Not very punctual but understandably so as you never feel rushed during your time with him. He listens attentively and responds accordingly, although at times it may appear that he is about to fall asleep.:) Sorry had to get that in there. I am very grateful and appreciate all he has done to help my daughter and family navigate our way through this eating disorder. Thank you Dr. Vickar for caring!!!!

This man is really really smart. He really does know what's best. Sometimes I really do what to punch him in the face. He can be so frustrating!!! Of course, I am 15 being forced to be in treatment for an eating disorder. and have been for over a year. so that's why i sometimes want to punch him in the face. Ummm, he totally does fall asleep while your talking to him, and he's NEVER on time. ever. but thats kind of part of him and to be expected. He's a good guy.

Dr Vickar is very awkward to be around sometimes. He Also falls asleep simetimes but seems to still pay attention while sleeping. He also kind of stares a lot but he does try really hard to help. He really cares about peoples safty. He's very deticated to his job/patiens.

at the moment, i am seeing Dr.Vickar, and while I can't give him credit for his punctuality, he listens very much. Without him, I'd have been dead due to my state of health that my eating disorder had put me. Thank you for another chance, Dr.V. I'll remember always.
