Dr Kapoor was such a unique, talented, warm, fun loving, hardworking, committed Urologist, Renal Transplant Surgeon and Kidney Cancer Leader. He was a gifted naturally talented surgeon, technically adept, one of the few in the country. He published an amazing amount of influential, highly cited papers in the Urology and Renal Transplantation. He was pioneering physician who did a number of “firsts” in Canada. He was a clear , concise, entertaining, sought after international speaker . Most of all, he was down to earth, personable, emotional, compassionate, humble person , and very entertaining, fun, humourous and loving.

Dr. Kapoor was my fathers specialist when he was enduring his battle with kidney cancer back in 2009. I will never forget the love , kindness and compassion that Dr.Kapoor showed my father. The day our family was told that there were no treatment options left was a day that has been etched in my brain . My father asked Dr. Kapoor if he would pray with him . Dr. Kapoor held my fathers hand as he said a prayer and after , my father sobbed uncontrollably while Dr.Kapoor held my father in the most loving embrace and he didn’t let go until my father pulled away . Quite honestly for as sad as it was it was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever witnessed . Dr Kapoor was a very special man and an incredible physician .

Dr. Anil Kapoor is such an amazing Doctor. He saved my life. When all the surgeons gave up, Dr. Kapoor didn't. I owe him my life. Dr. Kapoor I will never forget your kindness. Other doctors have a lot to learn from you. God bless you.

Dr Kapoor came in on a SundayNight really 3am Monday to remove my kidney stones. He wasn’t on call but because of one kidney and other issues he took it upon himself. A true caring Doctor!!! Sean

Dr. Anil Kapoor was my Urologist, I met him for first time wearing his surgical uniform and a big smaile calling my name. That was one of the many times I was going to see him after but, the most important one for me. After that first visit I learned to trust his knowloge, I new at that moment that he was brillian, compacionate, happy and he cared for his patients. He new I was affreid by looking in to my eyes and he made sure I was ok every step until I did not have to visit him again.

This man not only saved my life he changed it. He removed my cancer riddled left kidney then informed me I had 85% chance of reacurance. He said I needed to make diet & exercise a daily part of my life. I did. That was 5 years ago

Dr. Kapoor was the man.. I was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer in 2007 and maybe 10% chance of survival..and here I still am..16 yrs later.. allowing me to see what my daughter's have become and are becoming.. thanks for caring Dr Kapoor..you were a saint sent from God and given this gift to heal people.. always in my heart..see you again my friend..

My mom and dad were both diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. Highly unusual. Without Dr Kapoor's support through research, advocating on their behalf with the drug companies and his compassion and care, my family would not have had the extra time we did with both. We thank you for that precious gift of time.

Dr Kapoor has been a quarterly and sometimes monthly part of our lives for ten-plus years. Sadly, we lost my dad in January 2018 and my mom in December 2022. Whenever we were there, he and his staff never made us feel rushed, we always felt heard, loved and respected. Thank you for all the compassion and wrap-around care you provided to my mom, dad and our family.

Found him knowledgeable and approachable couldn’t ask for a better doctor to take care of my mother. Far superior than other doctors. She had kidney surgery and she feels 10 years younger and is enjoying life. Thank you Dr. Kapoor for all you do for your patients and for St. Joseph’s .
