My husband declined treatment. This Dr telephoned him and took away a dying mans peace by going into graffic detail how he would die without treatment. No compassion.

Dr. Agbemadzo is beyond a doubt the best doctor in New Mexico. I have the utmost faith in him. He is very caring and thorough. He really listens to his patients and cares about them.

Without a doubt the most caring physician I have ever encountered. Cancer us a very scary word. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma at the beginning of 2015. Was I scared. you betcha. Started chemotherapy in March. He takes his time, to give patients all the options at each stage of treatment. He does not make promises but discusses options that usually work and those not suitable for you. He is well read and up to speed on new protocols. I read Tom Brokaw's book on our common disease and he was aware of the book and it's conclusions. I was facinating by the fact that he was from Ghana. I did not know what to expect. Ghana produced a wonderful human being who decided to take on one of what has to be the most stressful forms of medical practice. I see him monthly and his entire staff, Nursing, Dietician treat the entire patient. He consults with my primary on a regular basis. Something not all Oncologists do. I know regardless of the outcome of my treatment, I am in the best hands possible. I place him up there with Dr. Ben Carson.

Dr. Agbemadzo came highly recommended, and rightfully so. He is very knowledgeable , compassionate, and professional; a wonderful combination. He is thorough in explaining test results, defining terms, and providing clear, concise instruction regarding all aspects of our health condition and treatments. As mentioned by another patient review, Dr. Agbemadzo and the other Presbyterian doctors we are seeing work as an excellent team. We are SO thankful he is our Oncologist. We have complete confidence in him, knowing his patients wellbeing is his top priority. His nursing support staff are pleasant and proficient. The only area that wasn't 5-star was with regard to the front desk receptionist. She was not as pleasant and positive as the nursing staff members were. She was abrupt in her communication. Perhaps she was just having a bad day...

He is a helpful sweet heart. He understands why I refused the recommended ACS treatment. I'm in my 3rd year of remission. The first oncologist wrote on my chart that I was uncooperative, etc. Dr. Bernard, as we call him, immediately showed that to me, and said it is cruel. He's putting in good things about me. He stays in contact with my other doctors, and they work together as a true team. I was having trouble with my primary care doctor about diet. My oncologists want me to keep my weight up and eat lots of protein. Dr. Bernard got hold of my primary care doctor, and got the PCP off of my back, where I wasn't having fights about diet, and the PCP became motivated in taking care of sinus infections-and other odds and ends. He's so good.
