Dr. Kalman has been my cardio champion for over 5 years now. After open-heart surgery in late October of 2007, I had some serious complications immediately following, and in the follow-up care in the ICU, there was this one woman doctor (who, at the time, I thought to be a bit balls-y, kinda bossy) who seemed to swoop in and take a special interest in getting me on the road to recovery. I still think she's kind of balls-y, but in the best way. Jill Kalman is one of those one-in-a-million combinations of a physician who is thoroughly knowledgeable, professional and competent, and at the same time, quite warm and personable. I look forward to my annual visits with her at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She and her top-notch staff get an unequivocal five star rating.
