Saw this Doctor with my husband. He did not even acknowledge me even tough my husband introduced us. He has NO people skills and was not helpful in trying to manage my husbands pain. The 1st visit left us wondering who the hell we just saw. We went back because he was going to give my husband an injection to help with the pain. He could not get to the nerves because he said the discs were to close together and then basically said there was nothing else he could do so goodbye. I despise this man and hope one day he suffers a 5th of what my husband is going through he might help people then! OR MAYBE NOT!

I was refered by Dr.THIE to see the pain clinic with Dr.Knight this doctor took my pain concerns seriously and is treating me for them. My family doctor told me he couldn't help me because it involved my thoracic spine. Dr. Knight was able to explain why I was having pain in my back and provided me with quick effective service. I felt that as I described my symptoms he understood what was going on with my spine. The only down side i have to say is I would have liked something more than cream to help with pain and exacerbations in between visits due to the area of injury it is difficult to apply the cream he gave me by myself and it is not always effective at relieving my pain symptoms. Also, the UofA clinic is hard to access if you are driving. Overall he is a good doctor.

I am really shocked about the negative comments about Dr. Knight. He is helpful and always willing to try new therapies. His hospital clinic is not very private so it is better to avoid conversation unless you want everybody to hear but if you need to talk, he will sit down and talk over your problems no matter how busy the clinic is.

I have been seeing Dr.Knight for just over 10 years. As I have gotten to know him as one of his patients he is not big on idle "chit chat". That's okay if you know and understand that about him, some people take it personally and I hope they read this, he just doesn't engage in the usual chit chat like some other physicians. One thing you can always count on is asking him a question and getting an informed intelligent response. He is extremely knowledgeable and for me is willing to try other things with pain management. However I have found that as a patient you need to be informed and research things as well. When I discuss alternative treatments with him he is very open to letting me try them. I have been fortunate and my current treatment is working. Chronic pain management is about having a team of people supporting you. Not one person can give all the support. Dr. Knight is only one of the members of a strong team behind me.

Dr.Knight does not discuss treatment options readily. He is abrupt & offers no insight into how to better manage my pain. The injections of pain control meds in my back are helpful, but only last a short time. The meds I am only help a little, when I ask for a refill or a change, I always have to remind him what he has prescibed. He is unwilling to try new meds on me. I am not completely pleased with him, as not much has really beeen done for better pain management.

Dr. Knight has ways to help but unfortunately has little person skills. Didn't tell me all the options that he wanted me to try ie going to the Pain Clinic. Just got a call out of the blue 4 months later.

I saw Dr. Rashiq who I was told was the expert on chronic pain management. He told me to get off my butt. Dr. Knight took a great deal of time dealing with my problems and has prescribed a number of innovative treatments that have enabled me to return to work.

He changed my life for the better!! If it wasn't for him I still be on the wrong meds and in severe pain. He may be a little untalkitive in the coversation department, but he's a DOCTOR not some one you met for coffee! He's always ready to try new things to give a better quality of life, and is willing to try new meds and new combinations of meds to find out what works best for the individual. There are not many pain management Dr.s out there, so he is a very busy man and gets staright to the point. He has no time for idle chit chat. I highly recomend him because he is always up to date and he knows what he is doing.
