I had most of my prostate removed by Dr Egerdie 5 or 6 years ago and I have had a lot of problems since then, the staff there are terrible, Dr Egerdie is retiring and was suppose to send my family Doctor a letter referral for another Urologist but instead he told my family Doctor I do not need another Urologist which is unbelievable, cannot get in contact when I phone his office, his staff says I am no longer his patient, they are not very nice there, ARROGANT!

This guy decided to retire in the summer and didn't officially notify his patients until mid November. He didn't transfer his cases, just told us to start all over. 10 months after I started I was back at square one to deal with a serious issue. If I hadn't hounded reception for an update in August, I would have lost 2+ months. Feel bad for everyone who found out in November.

Very bad experience with Dr Egerdie. Did not take the time to discuss what he had seen during the tests in office and cystoscopy. One test not done properly.
Two occasions with 2 sentences of information about my condition. Total lack of information as to what he saw and why more tests may be needed.
Would not reccomend him.

I was a patient of Dr. Egerdie’s in 2014. Based on biopsies, I had indications of a possible prostate cancer of the horizon. Dr. Egerdie’s protocol was “watchful waiting.” After announcing his intent, I never heard from him again. Preoccupied with another health problem, I did not follow-up on why I was never contacted. In 2016, my GP found a lump on my prostate. I asked to be referred to another urologist. The lump proved to be cancerous. I had a radical prostatectomy in 2016. Although the surgeon believed all the cancer had been caught, I today learned my PSA has has jumped to 0.20 - a three-fold increase over one year ago. Investigations will now begin, but early indications are not good. The cancer may well have metastasized to my colon. Cancer cells likely escaped the prostate during the prostatectomy in 2016. Thank you, Dr. Egerdie, for your “watchful waiting” protocol. Had you acted upon your stated intent, my cancer would have been caught earlier, and I would not be entering the dark waters that lie ahead.

Please don't trust Egerdie. He was't able to diagnose my husband with bladder cancer mass size 10cm x 12cm x 13cm and conditions my husband had : lost lots of weight, had difficulty urinating, frequent urinating, not able to empty bladder, urine with blood, excruciating pain that he wasn't able to sit.
To rate Egerdie I would put -5 (minus 5) or 0 , but there are no such options.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Egerdie and was very pleased. He explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner. He was welcoming and polite. I will be engaging with Dr. Egerdie again in the future and have no concerns in doing so.

I went to Dr. Egerdie after a terrible experience with another doctor. He found that I had been misdiagnosed with interstitial cystitis. He removed a kidney stone embedded in my bladder which has totally cured all of my pain. His receptionist was quick to answer my emails. I am thankful.
