Excellent diagnostician...most important. Only orders tests that are necessary (unusual nowadays) and attributable to the confidence he has in his own ability to diagnose a condition. But, rest assured, that if Dr. Friedman feels any need to do testing or further referral he will do so. I have been his patients for over 35 years . He has treated me for mundane sinus infections and guided me through treatment for lymphoma (with an outstanding oncologist at NorthweLloyd that he recommended). Dr. Friedman KNOWS his patients...I never feel anonymous when I see him. Both my husband and I (and our children, when they were younger) all feel fortunate to have Dr. Friedman in our lives.

I was new to the area and tried some doctors who were cold and uncaring. I am writing this review because thanks to others that rated Dr. Friedman, this is how I found him and so very glad I looked on the internet. He is a great doctor who doesn't rush you. He listens to you and helps the best way possible. I am very happy I found him. His staff is kind and the office is very clean and nicely renovated. I love that I don't have to make an appointment and the wait time is usually not very long.

Does not spend any time with patients and misses major and in my case, life threatening symptoms. Pushes antibiotic pills at you and takes the $. Diagnosed a tumor as constipation.

Dr. Friedman is what's know as a "mensch". He truly cares about his patients. I've been going to him for 15 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. His staff has been with him for years and years, that says alot about a person. It's nice to go to a doctor where you feel that these are more than office staff, they are friends! Healthline of Commack rocks!

Dr friedman's PA is very cold and uncaring. She couldn't care less about your feelings. No bedside manner whatsoever. I would recommend that if you need to see a doctor without an appointment, go to Stat Health, not only are they much nicer, the doctors are actually board certified, unlike Dr. Friedman.

Dr Arthur Friedman is the most wonderful doctor i have never met a more kind, caring, compassionate, omg, just an angel sent from heaven, listens, although busy, takes the time to really listen to his patients, takes care of me better then any doctor i have ever come across, he is not a "dr feel good" how dare anybody say that, so not true. He is what a doctor is supposed to be, a doctor who really listens, and discusses options, opnions, listens to you, and perscribes what he feels is medically neccessary. its a shame there are not more doctors like him, he truley cares about his patients, gets to know them on a personal level , sometimes works 7 days a week to acconodate his patients, this man is a saint

Dr. Friedman is caring and always there. We have used him as our family dr. for over 20 years. He is a nice, friendly, unintimidating doctor. He does not talk down to you like others have done. He is definitely NOT a Dr. Feelgood, as someone else had commented. When you are sick and go to the dr., don't you expect to walk out with a prescription? He is a wonderful doctor!

Used to be a caring doctor - now all about volume - misdiagnosis happens when you go do a doctor who rushes you. I would recommend finding someone else!
