Dr. Riester is excellent. She has been my elderly mom's doctor for several years. Always attentive and thorough. Goes the extra mile to call back (nights and weekends) and to respond quickly to questions in the BIDMC portal.

I am a nurse and have her as my PCP and my endocrinologist and I cannot say enough about Dr. Riester's compassion, skill & knowledge. I recently switched my husband from an uncaring PCP to her. She immediately looked at his labs and gently but firmly ordered him to an alcohol rehab ASAP. He listened, and immediately checked himself in that day. I can't thank her enough!

Dr. Riester is an amazing doctor! She is very knowledgable and goes out of her way to help her patients. She is always calling me with my results, even on weekends and when she is on vacation. I definitely recommend her!

had been to other internist 3 times , had over $1000 in bills with no diagnosis, went to this doctor, got the workup and found out it was kidney stones not referral to pain management! other doctors get you in and out , she gets you to the diagnosis and treatment, If you want the diagnosis and want to get the answer and not the brush off, go to this doctor.your health is worth the time.

Failed to diagnose my thyroid cancer even though I complained of having a lump in my neck. Useless and very cold. Luckily I diagnosed and treated successfully, but with no help from Dr. Riester. When I called to tell her I did have thyroid cancer she told me not to worry it was the "good" kind of cancer to get.

excellent doctor. cuts to the chase. diagnosed my problem when 2 other doctors couldnt figure out what was wrong. even called me back after hours so i didnt have to spend time at work discussing my medical labs when my coworkers could listen in, knows her stuff and can quote the most recent studies. i sometimes wait for her but she takes time with me when i need it and calls me back with all my lab tests rather than a nurse. I have refered many friends to her it is so hard to find a great doctor like her. when you see the best f course you have to wait

It's funny that people want Dr.s to be their "buddy" - that is not the goal.. they must be watching too many medical TV shows I think. A Dr. has a limited time to assess so many things and put it all together. My first visit with her left me feeling so great! I know I am in good hands and due to a severe medical problem that is chronic, and my having to move often I know good from bad doctors - I've had both. I trust her very much and look forward to my next visit. She is SUPER!

I like doctor Riester, she really tries to help. However, there are a couple of things that I feel she needs to improve on: 1) she relies too much on published reports from tests to be done to medications to be taken to the point where she applies them on her patients w/o checking. 2) she's always late. I wait on average 40 min to 1 hour. Sometimes I even wait in the visit room
