Dr Russell is an amazing surgeon! I had hardware removed twice and then recently had an ankle fusion which I’m recovering very well from! If you want to be coddled, he’s not the one for you. He’s blunt and gets right to the point, no sugar coating! But he’s so knowledgeable and totally worth it! Also, his receptionist Rupal is such a wonderful human!

Dr. Russell speaks so fast that I have to laugh about it. This surgeon was amazing to deal with, though. I first saw him in September. He sent me for some extra tests and I returned in November. I had my reconstructive surgery (osteotomy with ligament work) on December 12th. I am currently 6 weeks post-op! I have had zero pain from start to finish right now. I was given good directions for recovery and have found it easy to follow. However, I’m not a crutches person so I’m ready to be rid of them soon! Haha. I can’t say enough good things about Rupal - his receptionist, Dr. Russell, the nurses at the hospital, or Peter Lougheed staff in general. 10/10 would recommend!

I had the ugliest bunion and my toe so totally toe was a a wreck from what another surgeon work on twice, Dr. Russell fixed it and I am happy I am so far so happy with the job he did.

About a year ago Dr Russell and his team did an ankle fusion to correct my bad ankle . It went exactly as planned and is fantastic to have no pain in that ankle. Excellent Doctor

Dr. Russell is an amazing surgeon. Professional, attentive, courteous, listens carefully, answers thoughtfully.

I honestly have never had a better experience in all my years of needing different types of surgeries.

I laugh, thinking of Dr. R actually giving 2 poops as to what anyone of these reviewer thinks of him. The truth is, this guy is one of the best ortho surgeons anywhere, and I was very lucky my family Dr. had interned under him so I could get the referal. I also so many other specialists for ankle pain over decades; most just prescribed orthotics, & Dr. R diagnosed the structural problem, corrected it surgically ( subtatular fusion). Ms. Rupal is awesome, and Dr. Russell is pleasant and professional. Like many other reviewers; if you want coddling, go somewhere else. If you want results, see Iain Russell.

Dr. Russell has been extremely helpful with my current foot issue and recognized a dangerous problem I didn’t know I had, he was then very prompt with a treatment plan.

Had an complete achilles rupture in 2020 that was surgically repaired by Dr. Russell. Surgery was quick and easy and now a year later I'm back to 100% as if nothing had ever happened.
