I had a procedure with Dr Nancy Van Laeken based on a recommendation from my ENT specialist.
The process from consultation to 1 month post op has been pleasant and professional. I had a lot of contact with Kelle and she has been outstanding with communication and coordinating my needs since I am an out of town patient. I asked for a lot and would change my details a few times and she took it all in stride. Communication was quick - I always hear back within a few business hours which I am thankful for. I had the same procedure approx 15 years ago with a different surgeon and the two experiences don’t even compare. Dr Van Laeken has a kind and professional manner and was very compassionate with me when I was feeling a little needy and slow moving at my first post op appointment - it was very comforting. I am currently traveling out of country and Dr VL/Kelle were so accommodating, they managed a quick visit when I was in town on a whim to check my progress which I was greatful for before leaving Canada.
I still have the tape on and will for two more months but the shape of my breasts is beautiful and I am pleased with the results. I would not hesitate to recommmed Dr Van Laeken and would go back if I was considering more procedures.

Dr. VL did my breast reduction and lift three years ago and I am thrilled. I have always felt like my large breasts were a curse and so cumbersome - when running in a trail - if no one was coming the other direction - I would put one arm under them for support. No bra could contain my breasts. It is a big operation but if you are motivated, so worth it. Dr. VL was kind and really made me feel confident and finally brave enough to do something I had wanted my whole life. I credit her calm demeanour and she totally understood why I wanted the reduction. Breasts look like they did when I was about 14 years old. Delighted with Dr. VL and her whole team. They perfectly and finally fit my body.

After years of searching for someone who could help my son, we finally found Dr. Van Laeken. She is absolutely amazing! my son was diagnosed with a seventh nerve facial palsy and they performed what is most commonly known as a smile surgery. My son now 5 years old smiled for the first time in 4 years last week. I cannot even express how grateful I am to Dr.Van Laeken. She had an amazing bedside manner and built a relationship with my son that made him feel excited and confident going into surgery rather than being scared. I highly recommend Dr. Van Laeken

I want to express my gratitude to Dr Van Laeken and Ramona RN for the expert care and support during my reconstruction after Breast cancer. I had bilateral mastectomies and nipple reconstruction . I am completely offended by”Stanley Park” who posted a few days ago. Not sure how a second party could understand what a patient goes through with the surgical team. Having gone through this I remember all the post op instructions and will always be grateful to Ramona when she removed my drains and took the bandages down for the first time. She was so empathetic and kind when I broke down. Obviously there are risks of infection after any procedure/surgery . That was explained to me too. I also had Allanah Lane do my nipple tattoos. She was gentle and patient . I would recommend her with confidence. It troubles me that a second hand assessment may possibly tarnish the reputation of the practice of a valued member of the medical community. Especially one that has helped with thousands of patients in the transition of physical and mental health during difficult times. Thank you Dr Van Laeken ,Ramona and Team I will always be Grateful !!

I have nothing but positive commments about Dr VanLaeken and her office staff, particularly her nurse Ramona. I am grateful for their expertise and support, and especially the care extended to me during my breast cancer experience/reconstruction. I am quite shocked to read the post on Feb 25 and I feel that this is a “one off” negative experience. Please do not base your decision to see or not see Dr VanLaeken on this post. I would also descibe her nurse as somenone who is very knowledgeable, is very attentive and has a wealth of experience in her position with Dr VanLaeken for over 20 years. I for one am grateful for the two of them. Thank you.

It really depends how complicated your case is .... you may want to seek a higher profile expert to achieve the results you expect. After all we all know that you pay for what you get. Avoid Nancy

Dr Van Laekin is a very kind and excellent doctor.I had a procedure with her 20 years ago and am still highly satisfied with the results today. I know from my nursing friends that she is highly regarded and respected by her colleagues.She is easy to talk to and is available to take your call following surgery. She is the best.

Dr Nancy needs to look at hiring more friendly, personable staff. Lindsay is terribly rude and comes across cold and very unfriendly. Nancy was nice enough but I felt slightly rushed and some questions were avoided or not properly answered.
Ended up booking my surgery on the way out of my appointment with another Doctor.

Staff are incompetent and think they can do more than they are actually qualified for. Be very wary of her.
