I have found Dr. Levy to be extremely punctual, understanding and genuinely concerned about his patients. I do believe that he sees so much of this he can figure out quite quickly what will or wont' work for that person. Compared to other doctors I have been to, he is A1.

If you didn't need help losing weight and most of us are desparate by the time you go to this doctor, then you wouldn't be asking for help. He throws you out if you are not losing weight to his standard and he is very self centered. Takes private phone calls while you are in session. At first I thought he would be very helpful but was very disappointed in his performance.

This man is unlike an other physician I have seen. He is methodical, throrough and explains the process throughout - I find his manner accepting and totally no-judgemental. He doesn't ever say the "you just have to lose wieght". I can say with conviction that he has and is saving my life. Although I accept what the other rater says about him having a research interest I actually think that is a big positive for him - unlike many others he actually reviews his cases for that research and this gives a lot more introspection that other physicians. A special interest in nutrirional disorders and weight cannot be an easy thing for anyone to do. We, generally, are one of the most difficult groups to care for. If we weren't - then why do so mnay of us gain more weight. He looks for the root cause! and like it or not - there is a reason why obese people are obese! I feel renewed and I have so much optimism now - something I have struggled with my family doctor with for years.

He has three catagories he puts people in who want to lose weight. Surgery, depression and ADD. He decides who he will see amd he lets you know that. If you don't lose weight within his time frame you are out. Dr. Levy is nice at first and then he shows his stripes. Good Luck!

Not a very understanding or helpful doctor. He is very self-centered and likes to have his ego stroked. Reserch is his priority.
