I walked in with chest pains. Dr. Malus told me I should NOT have come into his practice. Dr Malus said I should have called an ambulance. I assumed since he is a Doctor he can listen to my heart rate and with his experience and education can tell me if what he hears from my heart beat is normal or not. I will not see this "Doctor" ever again. He is uncaring and undereducated since he was unwilling to help a person who had chest pains. Good thing most Doctors are not like HIM.

Dr. Malus is now at the Bowness Family Medical Centre and they have a great staff. I think Dr. Malus is a fantastic doctor. He keeps current with the latest medical information. He listens to you and makes sure you understand what he is telling you. He is helpful and approachable. He will be direct and honest with patients, which some people misinterpret as rude. But you will find him very friendly if you get to know him a little. As in every other doctor's office, they tend to run behind. Dr. Malus is always very busy.

Not at all helpful. Hurried up approach was the best you could ever expect. I had some back issues and he says, "just relax and continue getting exercise." No tests were ever prescibed. Turns out I had a herniated disc. Another time I went in about my collar bone. He says, "just give it time, it will heal." Turns out it was fractured. If he took his time and had me get tested in both circumstances, I could have known better. Best not rely on his opinion....if you are going to see Malus, get a 2nd opinion.

Dr. Malus is an amazing dr! He has helped both myself and my son immensely. Direct & to the point. He is by far the best doctor I have ever been to. He left his last clinic due to some problems and was told his patients would be informed, they were not. He has struggled to retain everyone's files but has had problems doing so. The staff at his clinic and his move has nothing to do with what kind of doctor he is. If you want your diagnosis sugar coated and you want your time wasted don't see him.

Dr. Malus has been my dr for 20+ years, has always been pleasant, helpful, always answers all my questions and NEVER rushes me out of the office. He isn't the type of doctor that just prescribes drugs and sends you out the door, instead he is very honest and tells you like it is and if tryies to avoid you wasting time and money on medications and teach you to help yourself. When I needed a specialist, he set up an appointment in an amazingly short time (within the same day). Awesome doctor. Take advantage to his new location in Bowness as the office is not as busy as the old one given the situations of the prior doctors at this location. Remember, moving medical records and offices is political and having staff to phone all patients is not always available...this should not have any reflection on Dr. Malus. I'm personally very happy to drive the extra mile.

Not Recommended. Dr.Malus is inconsistent, hurried, and moody. These are not qualities that I would look for in a family doctor.

Im not really sure what to say about Dr. Malus and his staff, but it sure isn't postive. Dr. Malus replaced Dr. Zapanick in Bowness, who is an amazing doctor, I can not say the same about Dr. Malus and his staff. I found his office to staff to be rather incompetant, from over booking patients to faxing information to the wrong fax numbers. I also found the office staff to be sarcastic about other patients right in front of them. As for Dr. Malus, I found him to be jaded and bitter. I am uncertain on why he changed locations from Harvest Hill to Bowness and why he is excepting new patients after many years of practice? I found him to be very inconsiderate about my condition and I don't recommend him.

Hard to know if he is "knowledgeable" - rushed me in and out of the office. Noted that knowing what my hemoglobin was would be more helpful than the iron test my previous physician ordered, but did not bother to check it! I guess filling in a requisition takes too much of his valuable time. And God forbid I would have to make another appointment, had that test actually showed something "useful"!

VERY upset that he moved without notice. A letter would have been nice. Bowness is too far to go. It will be VERY streeful finding an available Doctor now within reasonable distance. He was however a good Doctor. I have known him for 25 years.
