I have been extremely impressed from the moment I met Dr. Higgins, his PA and the entire staff. Dr. Higgins was very compassionate and extremely realisitic in the expectations I shoul dhave regarding the surgery and rehab for my rotator cuff. My progress has been amazing, only 7 weeks out. Dr. Higgins has a great bedside manner, takes the time necessary to answer all of your questions and genuinely cares. I am in the medical field and have the utmost respect for Dr. Higgins and his entire staff. This includes his fellows, Jonathan his PA and Maria, his administrative assistant.

I HAD MY SHOULDER REPLACED IN 2008. Follow UP PROVED A GOOD FIT... 2009,I went home to help with my father.2011,back to Boston needing help.Dr.Toczlowski(orig.Dr.) found I had really abused the shoulder.Rebuilding the mess I had made..Dr.Higgins came to the rescue. I told him..I would return to Ohio to be with my dad.He removed the socket...gave me therapy script..understood why I would probably mess it up...AGAIN. Blue Sky in Ohio, worked it hard.Came back after the funeral..an emotional wreck. Not to mention my shoulder..yes I messed it up worse than the first time!I am such a good patient!Dr.Higgins understood. He knew if I had time again with my dad..I would do it all over again.Once again he was in for fun.11,2012,one more round. It was not the easiest replacement.(I feel twice).1,2013, new bone growth, healed fracture, and for me,Dr.s reaction was wonderful.I do know how much compassion, dedication, and understanding he and his staff have.Thank you for all you have done. ,

I had my left shoulder replaced in Feb 2010 by Dr. Higgins and this past October he replaced my right shoulder. To return to the same Dr speaks volumes as to how completely I trusted him. When he evaluated me after my first shoulder operation, Dr Higgins asked me if there was anything I couldn't do that disappointed me. I told him -I was very happy with the results. He said "Then I did my job." In my opinion, he is the very best of the best!

My experience with Dr. Higgins has and still contiues to be nothing less than the best. I been a patient for several years, and had some personal difficulties to overcome before my surgeries..( 2 ) With one to go.. But, Dr. Higgins handeled my situation with utmost care, kindess, integrity and a non - judgemental attitude. I have had many surgeries and interactions with Dr.s nurses..etc.. and how someone treats another human being is very important... His bed-side manner was gentle, informative, and he listens. So, That was my right shoulder experience.. Having my left done in February 2013.

This is really strange the MRI report says I have no tear in my rotator cuff. I only have pain from tendonitis and he is still insisting I should have a surgery and he refuses explaining his thoughts like its a big secret. I don't want to go back to him at all.

I wish more doctors were like Dr Higgins. He was the perfect doctor for me, incredibly knowledgeable, patient and explained what needed to be done and why. The surgery went well and the recovery is going very well. I would recommend Dr Higgins to anyone with a shoulder issue. He really is a very compassionate and friendly man.

Guy was rude and we ended up with me walking out of appointment. He said "I don't negotiate treatment with patients" in other words, he will do whatever he wants with you or you can leave. Have heard he has nasty temper which sometimes shows up during surgery - go elsewhere!

Dr.Higgins turned my painful shoulder into a normal one - after years of pain I sometimes can't remember which one I had surgery on. He is kind, compassionate, but most of, a superb surgeon. Don't waste your time somewhere else...
