Insulting and dismissive. Could have resulted in adverse outcomes, nurses had to advocate for a safer delivery. Major scarring post operatively, and he told me that it was only fat and then spelled "f-a-t" out to me (I was about 185lbs 2 weeks post c-section. My daughter requires ICU care for 48 hours and has suffered respiratory issues since. I recovered poorly and have significant scarring to this day. Zero bedside manner, poor judgment. Pick someone else.

who took over his patients I was told he a female Dr. taking over but didn't hear anything after . It would be nice as our records are who knows where and we need them .

I will forever be grateful to this wonderful doctor. I saw him throughout all 3 of my pregnancies and he was extremely knowledgeable, to the point, kind and he also had a sense of humour that put me at ease. He saved the lives of both of my sons during emergency c-sections and delivered my daughter by c-section as well. He was extremely skilled and my recovery was so easy that I went home the following day in each case. He sincerely cared about both myself and my children and he asked the name of each after they were born. Because of this man, I have 3 wonderful children who suffered no complications despite difficult births. I will always be very grateful to him. I heard that he has recently retired and I wish him the very best of everything!

I took my sister to her appointment today January 7, 2019. It was booked 5 months ago. Nobody there, phone disconnected. Bedkowski retired in November, thanks for the courtesy call. It was a wasted 250 km trip for me. Yes 250 km! My sister is in a long term care facility in St. Catharines.

I was a patients of this doctor for over 20 years, since I was 18 years old. He was exceptional, and I am incredibly sad to hear that he has retired. I wish him all the best in his well deserved retirement.

Dr.Bedkowski was the only dr in niagara region who was able to help me with an unusual and challenging condition/surgery I had. He also delivered my first baby by c section and had a smooth and trouble-free recovery. He always displayed immense knowledge and compassion as my condition took a huge toll on me mentally, emotionally and of course physically. I am in big awe for all the time and care (and even life tips!) he generously offered which had helped me through the toughest period of my life. Would definitely recommend DrBedkowski to every lady I know! Staff is pleasant and punctual. I only had to wait a couple of times and that was because I was the one who was late, other than that the office is never overcrowded and I would be seen in 15 mins max. Thank you so much Dr and staff, keep up the GREAT work!

I found Dr. Bedkowski to be rude, arrogant and condescending regarding my concerns. Flippant answers, and when he asked me if I take any medication, I said no, just Vitamins, he replied, "a waste of money, your pee is probably the same colour as your hair". Upon the brief consultation, he wrote a prescription, and said to me "take it, or leave it". I felt very uncomfortable around him, and felt he was unprofessional, I walked away, with no information, or help with my concern, what a waste of tax dollars!

Be prepared to pay $4 parking every time you have to go to an appt at this office. That adds up quite a bit, especially if you are having a difficult pregnancy that requires a lot of appts. Dr. Bedkowski has a wonderful staff, especially his wife that works as a office assistant there. I went to Dr. Bedkowski for uterine fibroids & a uterine cyst. He did look into it for me & reviewed the ultrasound images on CD after I had an ultrasound appt & he wrote the medical report for it. He explained to me which side the cyst was on & then put the wrong side down on the report he wrote & every ultrasound since the doctors put that the cyst was on the other side. This is kind of an important detail if I were to ever have a surgery to have the cyst removed. I had a lot of questions about how these fibroids & cyst would effect my ability to get pregnant, since I am trying to start a family & have had a lot of first trimester miscarriages over my adult yrs. He told me he didn't have time to answer my questions b/c he had other patients to see & to look for my answers on the internet. This was at a separate appt from my ultrasound results review & I specifically booked the appt to ask my questions & waited 2 mo's to get into see him. At my first appt he was rude to me b/c I am a woman over 35yrs old & told me to hurry up & get pregnant b/c at my age a woman's fertility is dropping like a rock, like its something any woman is not already aware of. He lacks a good bedside manner & needs to pay more attention to the details of what he write down about his patients cases in the medical reports. Still, I have been to 3 OBGYNs in this city & he was better than Dr. Chan or Dr. Yeggipan.
