Would not recommend. Seemed only interested in selling me his products as fast as he could and kicking me out that door. I would not see this doctor. He was uneducated, greedy, and senile.

I find some of these reviews interesting, as it seems that the negative ones have been written by people that are unhappy with Dr. Silver's opinion on a medicolegal matter rather than his abilities as a doctor. It's unfortunate that this excellent doctor's name is sullied by people who seem to have an agenda, rather than a true rating of his qualities as a physician. This is evidenced by the fact that these unhappy posts give scores of "1" to the staff and punctuality - my experience was that the staff was very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Silver was exactly on time. It seems these people just want to give the lowest score possible rather than comment on Dr. Silver's abilities.

I am a professional translator, and have worked with many physicians over several years doing Independent Medical Exams. I recently attended an IME performed by Dr. Silver and came on this site afterward because I was very impressed by him. Having observed hundreds of medical exams over the years, I can objectively say that Dr. Silver's was one of the most comprehensive and thorough that I've witnessed to date. He acted empathetically and professionally, and from my outside opinion was very fair. It seems clear to me that the people writing negative reviews are unhappy with the results of his medical exam, as it likely prevented them from collecting as much insurance as they hoped for. If you look at most of the reviews from people that have seen Dr. Silver as a family physician, I think it's clear that he is a very good doctor. I don't have any personal experience with Dr. Silver as a patient, but from an objective outsider's opinion, he ranks up there with the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Silver's for about 10 years, and have always been extremely impressed with his medical knowledge and ability to help me with a wide range of issues. He is very up-to-date and often tells me about how new research is changing the ways different conditions should be treated. I can't imaging going to another family doctor, he gets my highest recommendation.

I think Dr. silver is a very caring and good doctor. It's not easy sitting there all day and listening
to all the minor aches and pains people see him for. It takes an awful lot of patience to do so.
Too bad OHIP has to pay for all the people that see a doctor when they really don't need to see
one at all. If you had to pay a fee for seeing him if I wonder if that
would eliminate 1/2 the patients that take up his precious time.

I've been seeing Dr. Silver for over 20 years. I trust his judgement and he has always provided excellent solutions to my issues. I prefer being offered natural treatments over prescription drugs so I appreciate his approach.

We continue to be disappointed with the poor quality of care provided to our elderly father, but can't change at this stage. He attends with a cavalier attitude, spending more face time with his computer than the patient. Dr. Silver does not communicate considerately or effectively with this elderly hard-of-hearing patient. He conducted a recent physical cursorily, glossing over all but the basics. He does not offer information or advice unless specifically asked. He ordered tests and did not report results until we called and asked a week after they were available. He does not monitor medications carefully or effectively, renewing prescriptions with significant side effects without re-assessment of actual need. He leaves us with the clear impression that he couldn't care less about the health and well being of our aged father. Patients with any real health concerns beware!

I see Dr. Silver often and find him to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to others looking for a doctor, he listens to what you have to say, and responds accordingly.

I could not believe these negative comments. I have never encountered any of them. I have been seeing Dr.Silver for about a year and found him very professional all the time. In fact, he's the only doctor that's ever helped me and treated my condition and helped me get a better part of my life back.

Dr. Eric Silver has help me so much since i've been seeing him, I appreciate the care I have recieved I never feel like a number, I truely feel He cares for all his patients wish we had more doctors like Dr. silver that really care for people! not the the doctor's you see that just want to swipe your health card.
