The inappropriate and apparently unilateral forced retirement of Dr. Maurice Keltz deserves judicial review and investigation by an independent commissioner of the province. This is a watershed moment in the history of family medical practice in this province. This furthermore marks an intolerable infringement into the healthcare concerns, needs and options of his patients and the practitioner’s own business as a community family doctor with a large and steady practice. Whoever did this should be investigated and disciplined. Dr. Keltz’s practice is among the top shelf of medical practice models of all of the available exemplars of the best - most practical, most direct, most comprehensive and most clinically accurate, most up to date and most superlative medical practice approaches found anywhere in the province of Ontario. If this is what is done to this doctor -what is on the horizon for family physicians in remote northern communities? In point of fact, this family doctor’s approach to community practice in Toronto and surrounding area - in terms of healing and top diagnostic acuity delivered via top speed habit of patient care feedback, specialist to family doctor connectivity and careful, thoughtful and reliable care delivery in every area of practice bears no rival in and or through any other current common practice parameter and/or custom which is more automated, much more broadly dependent and increasingly fragile as it falls into a significant range of loss to the patient. This on account of dangerous internet and A.I. cultures, loose ends, outright errors and inaccurate default assumptions. Dr. Keltz is so highly regarded because from the very nature of how he maintains his direct command over his patient records, how he conducts patient examinations and how he makes referrals as well as follow up communications. All accountabilities always fall back on him directly as he communicates directly with the patient, never avoids patient concerns -and never, not even once in thirty years bears out a single mistake. This constancy, reliability and accuracy is as true today to his entire practice as it was 30 years ago. His practice needs to be supported not destroyed. Shame on those who did this. In future decades his name will deserve to be entered into the annals of best medical practice.

He has cared for my health for decades and I owe him my very life on more than one occasion. Best doctor I've had by far in my long life... A very caring practitioner with a phenomenal memory and astonishing in-depth knowledge of all aspects of medicine.

I would be honoured to sign a petition in any attempt to get he College of Physicians to reinstate him; removing him from the Register has done a great disservice not only to Dr. Keltz's patients, but to the community they are suppose to serve.

I am a patient if Dr Keltz sine 2019. In that short period of time I can say he is very knowledgeable, kindhearted, welcoming Doctor. Even he booked me for 1am i stay awake and see him with my little girl because i have no one to let her stay while she is asleep. I am very devastated knowing that he is force to leave us behind. On my ongoing treatment i have no idea anymore who will take over those file of mine. Who can refer me to who? He is the only doctor that can easily send me to specialists as i am waiting supposed to one? But please tell me what will happen to all his clients? Who will take over?
I have another second MRI but i dont know if he send me to another one yet. I am sorry for myself, why they do this to all his patients. We need a doctor like him…. Please

I am so heartbroken to hear that Dr. Keltz is no longer practicing. He is a wonderful, caring, kind, thorough and compassionate doctor. He is one of a kind. You will never find someone like him ever again. The fact that he is being forced to retire is a crime against his patients and the medical profession. We need him. Please, if you are sending a petition to reinstate him, I will sign that letter.

Dr keltz has been our family doctor since 1977. He is knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and very well connected with top specialists. He is always available when needed, even if that is for a 2 AM appointment.

The fact that he us being forced to retire is unconscionable.

I came to Canada in 1999 and Dr. Keltz is my family doctor since then. What amazes me is that he has a spinning rack right beside him with every single patient names listed and that rack is just full from top to bottom and he can actually grabbed my file in a heartbeat. He is very organized professional and very welcoming as well. He is just an excellent doctor. I could not say more. If I'm still in Toronto, I would never go to any doctor but him. That's how good he is. 😀
