Ratings for Dr. Margaret Lawson
Dr. Lawson does not listen to us, the parents. We know our child better than anyone does, especially only after meeting our child (virtual meetings) less than 5 times. Yet, she's ready to start life altering treatments that are irreversible. Our child is going through a period in life where they don't know what they want - continuously changing their mind about who they are, what they like, etc. Yet this doctor is ready to go ahead with hormone treatment to change the sex of our child. I've read news articles about her saying they do intensive research with the children and parents before administering hormone treatments but that has not been our case. Truly disappointed in the misinformation she has provided us. There needs to be more assessments (psychological) done before this happens and she just won't listen to us. I wonder if she gets kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies to push this on children because she sure isn't thinking of our child's welfare or interested in getting to know what is really going on.

As a parent I was finally allowed to make a formal in meeting taped complaint to CHEO. One day my daughter will sue Margaret Lawson for her actions. She is not a Physician in our eyes after her dispicable abusive actions. Unfortunately for Margaret Lawson evidence is proof her abusive actions. Thank god for the many excellent Physicians, Nurses, Licensed Diabetes Social Workers, and so many dedicated staff at CHEO who saved my daughter life. Thank you Dr H and Dr Morgan. As a parent I will be forever grateful for you both repeatedly saving my daughters life. The reported incident of abuse does not ever reflect on CHEO.

Dr. Lawson is not arrogant or any other negative comment. She is no bullsh--t and extremely competent. My son started seeing her over 20 years ago and he is a successful executive in the Toronto Hospital network. She is top notch and anyone she treats receives the very best treatment . It is hard for any parent when a child is diagnosed as diabetic but this Dr. Is truly one of the best. Just be patient and listen. Thank you Dr. Margaret. Beverley Scott

Our experience & interaction with this doctor has left us with the opinion that she is arrogant, incompetent, does not cover the basics & has poor communication skills. She refused to listen to other specialists, consider the most basic provisional diagnosis, & this inaction resulted in the death of our daughter. She did not speak to us at all when our daughter died or since & has not provided any information or explanation. We would strongly recommend that other parents do not trust this doctor with their child's life.

Dr. Lawson had the worst bedside manner. She was extremely condescending and rude. She wouldn't let us explain our child's particular health concerns and constantly interrupted us. The least compassionate practitioner I've ever encountered.

My son has hypothyroidism and has been a patient of Dr. Lawson's for 14 years. I have always received excellent service and advice. She has always been very considerate of both my son and myself. I absolutely recommend her.

She pressured me into allowing her to measure my genitalia with a popsicle stick after saying I was uncomfortable with that . I was 14 , in my eyes that is molestation . I opened a case and she mysteriously stopped working at the hospital .
