I was so lucky to have Dr Hancock on Virtual Care NS. She was very thorough and I could tell that she really cared and listened to my concerns. How I wish I could have her for my Family doctor.

All you had to do was review my medical records and confirm what I was telling you was the truth when I saw you in outpatients and call my pain specialist.. I understand that doctors don’t like to prescribe opiates, but I’ve been on them for 17 years. The time for questioning this line of treatment was long ago, one can’t be expected to cease a course of treatment like this overnight. You caused me to go into severe withdrawals and when my pain specialist saw me, he wanted to chastise you, however I asked him not to bother as it would achieve nothing and make things more difficult for me should I need to see you in outpatients again. My records indicate my condition and the required medication as well as notes to contact the QE2 pain management centre should any issues arise, however you were quick to make an assumption and caused me a great deal of unnecessary pain and suffering.
Please don’t assume I’m guilty of drug seeking. Just listen to what your patients are telling you, by all means, confirm it, I would expect no less, I’m certain you deal with people faking pain to get drugs regularly, however, it isn’t me you’re looking for.

Dr. Hancock has the mannerism of a doctor who is fresh out of college. Very patient, kind and attentive and when unsure refers you to someone in that field.

One of the best GPs I've ever had. This lady is a great listener and treats you with such respect. She is willing to refer you to specialists when necessary. Regardless of your problem, it is always a pleasure to meet with her. I have gone to her for many issues and have always felt that I have obtained the best care possible. I wish everyone could have a doctor such as Dr. Hancock.
