A great listener, willing to go that extra mile for each and every family. He still does house calls! Often runs a little late, but when you are there, he has your full attention and never rushes you. He is THE GO-TO doc you will want if your are sick or simply need to chat. .... and his new front-office staff and set up is second to none!

Great doctor, great practice. Front office staff is hit or miss: one woman is friendly and accommodating, the other is rude and condescending beyond measure. (Ask to speak with Erin, she's the good one.)

We had Dr Buchholz for a few years while we lived in Cornwallis, ONE OF THE BEST DR. WE EVER HAD, if I ever move back i hope I will be able to see him again.

My husband and I became patients of Ken's a little over a year ago and both of us have had excellent experiences. He has been kind, courteous and efficient - but most of all he has been caring and compassionate. Additionally, he has personally called back after hours to check on us. He is one of the few doctors I've ever had that actually either calls himself or has his staff call you with results of lab work - to either tell you that all is good or to ask you to come in if need be. He does require you to be an active participant in your healthcare and that can be hard for some people to accept. If your own behaviour is causing your medical issues or making them worse, he expects you to do whatever you can to help him help you. I like having a doctor that holds you accountable and doesn't just push pills or push you off to specialists for no good reason. His is also a teaching clinic and he always has excellent residents on staff who have been fully capable of assisting in our care.

You're rude, short with your patients, your secretary is ignorant, you backpedal on things you've said and call me a liar when questioned about it. I don't know what I ever did to this man but he has literally ruined years of my life. I hate this man, when I see him on the street I ignore him completely. The only reason you have this many positive reviews is because Annapolis is a friendly community and many people haven't dealt with other, more understanding and compassionate physicians. You are the only person on this planet that I truly hate.

Dr. Ken is not just an experienced, knowledgeableand great Family Doctor, but one of the nicest and most compassionate human beings you could have in such important and trusted role. When we moved from Annapolis County to Mount Uniacke just outside of Halifax 3 years ago, there was NO question of changing doctors ... and he makes it work even from this distance!!

I have known Dr. B on a personal and professional level for the past 35 years. I know of no other person (Dr or not) who cares more about people than him. I expect that if he could take everyone in Nova Scotia who doesn’t have a family physician into his practice he would. Dr. B. works long hours and is always trying to lift more that his own load. I have heard him complain. He takes new graduates and interns into his practice to make sure that they are starting their careers with the right attitude and work ethic. This man would not have to ask me for something twice. He is my friend and my doctor. God bless him and everyone working with him.
