This doctor is arrogant and that makes him DANGEROUS! It felt like he didn't have a clue so he just dismissed it as nothing! Ended up see another doctor who helped me and referred me to specialists. Our area, and province, have a severe doctor shortage, so a lot of people don't have many other options! That is wrong because people are scared to report him! If you see Dr. Bonnington and go away feeling dismissed or unresolved, PLEASE try and seek another evaluation!! If you feel like you didn't get the answers you needed, FIGHT for the answers because you deserve them, and so do those who love you! I've heard quite a few horror stories about this guy!

This doctor was blatantly racist towards me as an aboriginal and did not take my health concerns seriously making a surgery I urgently need take even longer.

Never had a problem with this Doctor. Yes sometimes he is rushed with over 3500 patients ,and some of them are are not patient with him. OK with me.

Incompetent. Treats clients like they know nothing and he knows best. Does not take their health concerns seriously. No follow-ups or referrals when there should be. Puts health of clients at risk. Absolutely not recommended! Should not be practicing!!

Dr. Bonnington is not brusquely efficient and cold, in fact he makes a visit at the doctor's an enjoyable experience that is still not at all lacking or unhelpful. His sense of humor is joyful, but i will admit, nothing for a stiff and unfeeling personality.

Dr Bonnington tells you not what you want to hear but what you need to hear. Every time I have visited him I have gotten his straightforward, honest opinion. Not everyone will appreciate his brusque manner (as seen in these comments, you either love him or hate him), but he is the most efficient doctor I have ever seen and knows what he is talking about. I am so grateful he and his family moved to this community and appreciate the work he puts in to make sure the local residents receive the treatment they need.

Probably one of the cockiest, rudest doctors I have ever met. I don't use our medical system often but when I do, to get a diagnosis, is common decency to much to ask? After a 30 second examination, (and no chest x-ray), he said I had pneumonia and a sinus infection. So when I asked if antibiotics were totally necessary or could I beat this pneumonia by myself with time and rest, he replied, "Well why did you come in here then? Don't waste my time, my ink and the electricity if you aren't going to take the prescription." And walked out. Hey Simon, save some lives and get out of medicine already. I'm filing a formal complaint.

This is the rudest..most inconsiderate excuse for a doctor that I have ever seen. My husband suffers from severe chronic pain due to a car accident years ago. And upon our visit to the OPD ( because we have no family Dr.) to obtain a prescription for his pain medication, my husband was highly insulted by this Dr.’s inability to comprehend why he needed pain pills. He actually made comments indicating that “people from the area in which we live, are mostly pill heads...and that he would write his prescription this time but wouldn’t do it a second time”..What kind of comment is that?..And what doctor says that??.... my husband left the OPD feeling very distraught that he was being put into such a category. I have reported him to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. This sort of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable !
