dr A' seems disinterested in his work.I get the impression that he'd prefer to be elsewhere rather than tending 2 his patients.'Def' not Present in sessions-distracted.Also not much evidence of ongoing learning or other professioal goals.I sometimes think that I know more than him.

Dr. Armstrong has been treating me for about 20 years. He has saved my life and then given me the help I needed to do something with it. He never gave up, even when I did. Thank you Dr. Armstrong!

This dr. teaches and promotes empathy but seems to be showing less and less empathy himself. He is still an excellent teacher but now, rarely, shows compassion or understanding. Dr. Armstrong was at one time very supportive but now there is a lack of support. Once I could count on him to "be there" for me. I feel this is no longer the case. I know he has made many changes in his treatment but not all are beneficial, at least, for me. I no longer feel comfortable saying what I would like to say. Not a good thing to happen with a psychiatrist. I would still recommend him to anyone wanting to learn about healthy mental behaviors.

Dr Armstrong doesn't seem very concerned about any problems.Occasionally looks at the clock hidden behind me,then shuffles me out the door, after quickly writing a prescription. I understand he used to be the Department Head at the Grace, but I guess his quality of care has gone down along with his status at the grace. I hope he will take note and try and repair his career prospects?!

Dr. Brent Armstrong is a very good doctor to have if you have a bipolar illness. He is very helpful for the ups and downs of the illness. I believe he actually cares about the well being of his patients. I have been his patient for many years and he has always been there when I needed him. The fact that he is always on time helps since I have a daytime job.

I'm afraid I am not able to recommend this psychiatrist. I have been with him now for about 4 years during that time my opinion of him has gone down considerably. Dr A likes to do most of the talking, seems to have a lot of trouble listening. His answer to most things is meds> I don't think he acts responsibly the way he hands out addictive drugs and doesn't seem to care if you get hooked on them. STEER CLEAR

After spending 12 days in "Observation" at the Grace for extreme exhaustion, Dr. Armstrong introduced himself to me after the 8th day. That was four years ago, and I have truly found that his effectiveness as a psychiatrist with any particular patient improves in time, No one doctor is trhe right fit for everyone, but all in all, I have found him to treat me in the same manner that I treat him. He has empathy for his patients, appears to truly care, prioritized well, is interesting to speak with, with a good sense of humour, when appropriate. There have been times I have questioned his judgement, but he is very open with you if you are open with him. He tries to understand what his patients are going through, and paints a very clear picture in response. His ideas are usually right. I value him as a professional, and try to remember he is just, like all of us, a person.

I saw Dr. A for 2 1/2 years. Our relationship was never a trusting one. He continualy used sarcasm and was very hurtful in his remarks and body language. I've read the remarks by others and I to apprecate a straight upfront Psychiatrist but I found Dr. A to be very manipulative to the point of damaging. I am very happy that I have moved on and found a great Christian pyschiatrist that I find truely listens and challenges me to grow more. I never found that with Dr. A. He was right and that was that, I was never aloud an opinion even though I would give them. plain and simple it was an extremely unpleasant experience and a waste of 2 1/2 years on both our parts. I wish him the best and I pray for his patients that they are not treated in the same manner I was!

I have been seeing Dr. Armstrong for years. He has always been prompt, there when I needed him, professional. He not only listens, but really hears what I say. He's the best!
