Dr. Armstrong is an amazing doctor with tons of insight, knowledge and understanding of psychiatric problems. Very straight-forward and direct when speaking to you. Listens to concerns and addresses problems head-on, while making sure you understand his diagnoses.

This guy never fails to deliver help. Modest and very professional. He cares! Talk about having a good confidante to talk to, with a plethora of knowledge he has. His case management skills are amazing that he can provide tons of care, yet treat you with dignity and respect. He doesn't ask for much, just a simple thank you is good enough. Not only is he a great psychiatrist, he tends to be a great psychologist also. I have known him for over a decade and he's always been reassuring with my family, knowing mental is hard. I believe it's also hard to be a doctor. Jesus is the best physician but he gives gifts of being a healer to certain doctors, Dr A should be called Dr ace!!

This is one of the best psychiatrists in Manitoba. Most people run very fast in the other direction when they get him. Prabbly because he makes u face ur fears. He doesn’t sugarcoat things. Or is quick to push a lot of unnecessary meds. He is a very stylish dressed guy and a real pleasure to talk with. Very accurate in his diagnosis and often suggests ways of dealing with things without pushing a lot of meds. I owe a lot to the excellent work this doc has helped me overcome. If u are lucky enough to get this doc stick wth him to the end. He will help u where others have failed.

words can’t express the gift of him being my doctor. After 25+ years of severe clinical depression, I’m FINALLY getting well. I’ve seen other psychiatrists and he is the only one who approached my goal of getting well from a wholistic view point rather than just dolling out medications.

Dr Armstrong is amazing. He did so much for me to get me where I am now. What a difference a year and a bit makes. He had lots of patience with me and took a chance on me. So thank you dr Armstrong. You are amazing at what you do. You are a light in this troubled world. Keep pressing on as I know you are making a difference in people’s lives. I still have daily work but I’ve come so far because of you. 🤗🙏

I have been seeing Dr. Armstrong for nearly 30 years. He worked with me through some very tough times. I was hospitalized several times in the first 15 years and spent a total of over 2 years during that time in the psychiatric facility at Grace Hospital which has now been eliminated. The last years have had ups and down but I have been working and healthy most of that time. I am doing better now than ever in my life. I owe an awful lot to Dr. Armstrong. He never gave up on me. He never told me what I wanted to hear. He always has good advice for me and I always leave our periodic visits now feeling better. It's a shame that the health system has taken away many of the tools he had to provide care in the community, like the beds at the Grace, but he carries on. His longtime receptionist ( recently retired) Wendy was always a joy to chat. She worked hard to get me in quick when I really needed it. BTW, he is ALWAYS on time, much appreciated.
