Back in 2002 he diagnosed me with a Gleason score of 8, prostate cancer. The Juravanski cancer centre in Hamilton lowered my Gleason to 7 and I began my treatments. Twenty years later I am still doing well but my initial consultation after he gave me a biopsy was devastating and there was no follow up as he refused to take my calls, not one. He has the bedside manner of a fish, no warmth or compassion just wrong results. Beware of this guy, he’s in it for the money.

Dr. Brown is amazing, he's one of the best doctors my husband and I ever met. He goes above and beyond for his patients. My husband is very lucky to be under Dr. Brown's care.

Dr Brown is one of the finest urologists around. I recently saw him for an enlarged prostate. Polite, Informative and a terrific bedside manner. If you ever need to be referred to a urologist, he is the one you need.

The most absolute worst doctor and experience ever with the Clinic. First they put us in a back room. We waited 2 hours and still did not get seen. When we asked if they forgot about us they said they are going by when people checked in. They realized they forgot about us as they were seeing patients who arrive an hour after we did. Doctor was short and very rude.. Nurse was. ert short as well clinic was over full. Extremely disorganized. Terrible terrible terrible. The clinic is extremely poorly organized. They also lost the first referral made from emergency department Called emergency and they said they sent the referral. This system is absolute chaos at best. DONT sit in the back room if you go to the clinic as they WILL forget about you and then say it is your fault you were missed. THEY DO NOT keep track of you if they send you for x-ray or other tests. Just assume you are MIA.

Biggest mistake of my life was to have a vasectomy at 32. This is my second review of this doctor since its been almost 20 years since the vasectomy. The reason why I had a vasectomy was because dr. Ian Brown informed me that vasectomies causes no difference to sexual functioning. The way he talked sounded like vasectomies were nothing to worry about and my sexual functioning would be exactly the same as before, that is why i got it done but what a mistake that was. After vasectomy I was no longer able to bring my sexual functioning to the full extent that I was able to before. There was a permanent reduction of my sexual capability and if i tried to function as often my erections hurted and I was left very sexually worn out. The question is, how many men who received a vasectomy DID NOTICE a difference in sexual functioning? I notice on internet (which I didn't have 20 years ago-and how i wish I did research back then) many men who received a vasectomy reported they cannot maintain erection as long, they don't function as often, they cannot achieve a second erection, they can't bring it to the extent like before, the erections are weaker, painful erections, the org*sm is not the same, yet doctors all over the world say NO DIFFERENCE to sexual functioning. If these doctors and hospitals did in fact receive such reports from these men that their sexual functioning is not the same after vasectomy, then why are they saying no difference to sexual functioning? I believe this is where doctors and hospitals are guilty and are at fault for failing to warn all men who seek vasectomies what other men have reported that they did notice a sexual difference after vasectomy if in fact they received such reports or know about it. During my vasectomy there was alot of bleeding, and dr. Ian Brown kept on applying the cauterization heated tool and liquid over and over and over again for what seemed 15 or more minutes until it finally stopped bleeding. His exact words while he was doing this was I cannot tie the vas until it completely stops bleeding, when he cut the other vas there was no bleeding and he tied it right away. Now that I have aged 20 years since then, not only I always had to deal with the sexual reduction that occurred after vasectomy, all those painful erections, (which the reversal at age 36 by a different doctor didn't bring my sexual functioning to normal like before vasectomy), now that is combined with me aging, more than ever I wished I never had those surgeries. A man's sexual functioning is equally important as a woman's, ITS FOR PLEASURE, you cannot put a price on it, if I could only go back in time you couldn't pay me all the money in the world to have a vasectomy.
