We saw Dr. Hardy on April 20 of 2010. Our toddler had been suffering from vomiting and diarrhea for five days. He replied that it was nothing other than a viral infection that our son was having a hard time getting over, and that our son was adequately hydrated. I asked if Gravol would be beneficial to help him hold down fluids. Dr. Hardy replied "Only if you're one of those parents that likes to drug your kids." When I went to pick up the Gravol, the pharmacist took one look at our child and told us to get a second opinion or go the the Children's hospital. We got a second opinion, and that doctor sent us to the hospital so our son could get IV fluids as he was quite critically dehydrated.

I cannot believe that I just spent my money to see this quack who spent 5-7 minutes with me, barely listened to my problem, and then prescribed an antibiotic for what he "knew" was a viral infection. Only after I got home from the drug store did I realise that it was Erythromycin, an antibiotic eye salve (which does nothing for a viral infection). Maybe he is hoping for a placebo effect... It cost me $16.80. Luckily for me my condition was an inflamation of the eyelid (like a stye). I feel truly sorry for those folks going in to see this guy who have more serious problems...

If I know Dr Hardy is on I will specifically ask to see another doctor. I and my family have had too many bad experiences with this joke of a doctor. He does not listen to what you are telling him, he discounts what you are saying and doesn't seem to diagnose or prescribe meds properly. He gave me a prescription for my face, the pharmacist advised that there is no way that medication is to be used on ones face for that condition. That is just ONE instance of not knowing what he's doing. He seems uncaring, and has you out the door in no time without even really bothering to find out what is wrong. THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF HIM IS COMPLAIN TO THE OFFICE MANAGER OR TO THE COLLAGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS OR SOME BODY THAT OVERSEES THESE QUACKS!!!! SO PEOPLE DON'T JUST COMPLAIN ON THIS SITE, MAKE SURE YOU WRITE A LETTER OR SPEAK TO SOMEONE WHO CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THERES STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!!

Dr. Hardy saw my 13-year-old son as a walk-in patient. I had to pick him up at school as they thought he had fractured or sprained his elbow. When Dr. Hardy walked into the examining room, he asked my son "So, what's the problem?" My son explained to him what had happened. He then took my sons wrist and roughly tried to straighten his arm. He said "You'd be jumping out of your chair is this thing was broken." My son jumped about 6 inches out of his seat from the pain!! It turns out (after consulting another doctor) that his elbow was badly sprained. I can't believe this doctor's bedside manner! What a complete knob!! People like should should not be allowed to have 'Dr.' in front of their names. And that's where our healthcare dollars are going? I would warn anyone, never walk through the doors at the Beddington Doctor's Office in Calgary, Alberta.

This man is not a doctor. If I need to go to this walk in clinic and he's on staff, I walk right out again, no matter how sick I am.

It frightens me to think that someone with something seriously life threatening could be in this doctor's hands. I went in with a foot that was so inflamed and sore, I could barely walk. He looked down at my foot in passing, as he walked into the room - not even getting close to it at all. He then announced it was just a normal sting and that this was completely normal (after 5 days). He prescribed a cream that, upon checking, I don't think is appropriate for this type of inflamation. He didn't ask me one single question, nor did he actually examine the foot. Anything I asked him, he responded to flippantly. I would NEVER see this Dr. again!

This doctor is HORRIBLE! I went in to see him last night after I got a bug bite that was uncontrollably swelling. After waiting an hour and a half he walks in, barley looks at the arm and says "What do you want me to do about it". What a JERK! I saw him for literally less than 1 minute.

Very unkind and unhelpful. We lost our family doctor recently, so have had to go to clinic. My 6 year old daughter is having ADHD behaviours in school, and teacher told me to go see a pediatrician. When I saw Hardy, he asked me "what am I supposed to do about it" and to get my daughter's school to deal with it. Last time I checked teachers don't diagnose ADHD or write scripts for Concerta. Jerk. Got a very very long date for a referral, which is what I was asking for, but left in tears with a confused kid.

I took my 80 year old father to the Beddington Walk in Clinic because he had a nosebleed that had started several hours earlier & would not stop.He had to cautrize the inside of my Dad's nose to get the bleeding to stop. He made us feel like we were there unnecessarily & we were wasting his time. It is not like we went there right when the bleeding started--it was several hours later. He then had the Nerve to say to my dad" Don't Worry-- You'll LIVE". What a Rude comment!! I can't believe that this Guy is a DR. I wouldn't take my DOG to him!!!He is one Extremely Rude, Impatient, Non compassionate person. He should Have been in a job like a Garbage Man where he has no contact with the Public.
