Phenomenal surgeon with a world class team around him especially his office assistant Anne. 8 hour surgery and now free of cancer at last.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Ravel, he is a brilliant surgeon, compassionate and caring.I was lucky enough to be referred to him and six months ago had surgery.
I will always be truly grateful to him, as he gave me my life back
I wish him every happiness in his life.

Dr.Raval did my surgery February 2016. He is a very warm hearted and genuine person with a great sense of humor. I absolutely love Dr Raval and his nurse Ann. They took great care of me. I had stage 3 rectal cancer with an ileostomy. Just finishing my 5 th year. I will miss them both.

I had Dr. Raval for an emergency surgery in October 2019 to fix a ruptured ulcer(my 3rd in 6 years). The surgery itself was a success, even though I died on the operating table for 25 minutes, which was no fault of the staff at St. Paul's, it was actually due to the first hospital I went to waiting too long to transfer me when they realized how bad I was. Every followup with Dr. Raval, in the hospital or after discharge, was great. He answered all our questions, put my partner and myself at ease, he was absolutely phenomenal. He has even referred me to another surgeon who can hopefully help stop the ulcer from rupturing. He's been extremely helpful and compassionate, I highly recommend him

All doctors can learn from Dr. Raval about dedication to patients. He called me on a weekend because he was worried about my cat scan results, and wanted to make sure I was okay. Probably should have been out fishing or golfing but he was looking out for his patients when he was at home

Have known him for 8 years and 5 operations for Crohn's disease. Perfect operations, terrible disease that keeps leading me back to him. Wouldn't trust anyone else for operations - I know I'll need them in the future :( He says he doesn't read what people write about him on the internet but I have to print all of the glowing reviews and send them to his office. Except the one idiot who gave a negative review - it's about something that's not even his specialty! And his assistant Ann is an absolute gem. Sometimes long wait times at the clinic but that's because everyone wants to see him

I was referred to this doctor for an endoscopy in December 2015. I received no reply and repeatedly phoned his office getting a messaging service. They never returned my calls. I eventually managed to contact one of his staff in June 2016 to be told they did not have me on any wait lists. I have written proof from my GP that they faxed my referral successfully to his office. They re referred me. I was told today, without this doctor have seen me or read my records, that I do not need an endoscopy and should see a ENT specialist. I am already waiting fro surgery from the head of ENT at VGH who says I need an endoscopy. This doctor and his staff are negligent and dangerous.
