Lazy and seemingly uneducated... I knew more about cancer and proper treatments than she did...
Her lack of urgency led to increased pain, suffering, and death for my parent.
Not to mention, she talks to you and your loved ones like children. Just a pathetic excuse for an oncologist. Hope this saves someone from choosing her as their primary.

Dr Ligresti is knowledgeable and caring. She takes the time to explain everything to you, to ask questions and she really listens. I would and have recommended her to family and friends. I have waited for her way past my appointment time but in the long run, it is because she takes her time with all her patients and does not rush you out the door.

My mom was in stable condition when u der a previous dr in hackensack until she
started being seen by dr ligresti. She is nice and pleasant as others have said but she has no clue how to treat someone with breast cancer. My mother went from stable to death in just 6 months under care. Oh and her nurse practioner is the nastiest nurse i have ever met and neither dr nor nurse practioner should be practicing in that field!!!

After 5 years of hormone blockers, my wife rated her quality of life at about 80%. She then received 4 months of chemo and died 3 months later. The reported impressions of her final tests were that the cancer was about the same as 3 months earlier, showed some possible improvement, and recommended a PET scan. The doctor told us that the PET scan wasn't necessary and that the cancer was running wild. The doctor later told me over the telephone that my wife had less than 6 weeks to live and left it to me to pass that information on to wife. The National Cancer Institute reported in 2007 that 20 to 40 percent of cancer patients die of malnutrition - not cancer. I feel that my wife did not die of cancer but starvation as a side effect and complications of the chemo.

There usually is a long wait but worth the time you spend there. She was amazing during a very difficult time in my life. Her staff is equally amazing.

Dr. Ligresti is a very kind and caring Dr. She treated me for Breast Cancer in 2002 and I see her once a year now for check-ups. She may get behind a little for appts. but its because she never rushes her patients and take time to throughly examine you and answer your concerns. I am alive because of her aggressive excellant care.

Her treatments did not work for my family member who went through many months of various treatments. She then bluntly told us "none of this is working on you". She was very nice and caring on all previous visits, but eventually didn't have an answer for us...
